"We have nothing to announce"
"Soon (tm)"
"It will all become better"
"Best game ever"

and the babelfish-catcher:

"It´s exactly the game I wanted, Frontier is doing everything right, I like beige planets and I have a David Braben-Photo in my room"

(Couldnt resist)

Haha, I actually think you were pretty accurate there! But I seriously do want to hear about that Premium paid for content that Max referenced. If all he's talking about is Zac's brief blurb on it (which seemed a lot more like a guy in a pit with a bunch of lions who chucked a scrap of meat over his shoulder to give himself time to escape than someone sharing concrete, actionable intel with us) then I'm not going to be very convinced.

Other than Zac's casual mention of some paid for stuff coming in 2018 that he threw out there a week or so after the expo I haven't heard anything about that. Is there some info I missed that you can direct me to?

Nope. No info, but I still suspect they will want people to pay for it. I suspect we will find out what it is at the next Expo.

We're already looking forward to news at the next expo? Max, I didn't quite laugh out loud, but close. Really darn close:)

Hey. I never said I was looking forward to it. I was just saying why they would want people to carry on playing and why they would want people to return to the game. Don't put words in my mouth and make assumptions about me.

Well, you did cite the next expo as a further source of information and use an obscure mention of premium paid for content to get all of us doubters juicy with anticipation, so the assumption I made seemed fair:)

Nope. I gave reasons as to why FDev would like more players back in the game and reason why they want to keep existing players. I never once mentioned or implied I have other information as to what it is. I have my suspicions which I didn't even mention, and that is all. I said I suspect we will find out then. I don't know for sure. It is a guess.

It's the typical forum user policy of 2+2=500.

Calm down, Max. No need to take it personally. You are an optimist, while I have gradually become a pessimist. I'm not trying to be rude, I just thought it was kind of funny.

No worries. Not angry in the slightest.

I am an eternal optimist. I have had to become one to survive my childhood. I find it very difficult to be pessimistic, but when I am, then people need to worry.

Strangely enough the forum makes me more pessimistic than anything in ED itself; I should probably engage with this place much less...however, you two are definitely two of the less pessimism-inducing souls around here.

Max, learn to embrace the shadows; sarcastic, pessimistic humour is absolutely the highest form of wit. Jason, stop being so tangled up with sarcasm you actually confuse those around you and have no cuddle time left for me.

Good? Good. Now kiss and make up.

I like a bit of sarcasm myself. I am pretty sarcastic person, but it is pretty difficult to portray that on a forum, so normally don't bother.

Yeah I'm with you there. I actually find it extensively humourous that as colloquial and childish as smilies are seen, we genuinely rely on them for inflection in written text now...and to the extent that if said smilies are missing the message comes across as moody or "off".

[/random monologue]

Shotgun on the spot between you and Ziggy!

Still waiting for mine.
