I've been playing a lot of Sparc lately on the Rift. It's a cross-platform, multiplayer, sport game, and it will get you up and moving! Loads of fun. Maybe this could be the thread where we all recommend non-Elite games. Post yours!

But, Errrrrr, this is a Elite Dangerous Forum??????

I was playing Sparc on the PSVR when it came out, but I kept getting beaten on online matches :(

people were just brutal to me ..

Just picked up Skyrim for PSVR, and I would recommend Tumble and Polybius on that as well.. and Farpoint

For the PC, I only really have Elite. I have a Pimax 4k, so it does not come with motion controls or proper tracking. Once mm 8k arrives, I will probably purchase more content for VR on the PC

That's fine. I figured I wasn't the only one who played games besides ED. But maybe I am!

EDIT: wait I'm not! Let's face it: as ED players, we are at the forefront of the coolest gaming experience out there. Why shouldn't we explore and recommend other VR games, and expand the popularity of the technology?

It may be worth your time to fire up Sparc again! It was released for PC about a week ago, and there's cross-platform play. So you'll probably find yourself in matches with a bunch of newbies. Plus, the community is so wholesome that people are always willing to share tips and tricks.

It seems like PSVR has succeeded in getting exclusives. I hope the games will be ported to PC some point soon.

Yah, Polybius is amazing .. Jeff Minter can still make a great video game!!

I'll have to grab my yoga pants and try again with sparc - It's actually a good workout!

I drop into Lone Echo occasionally. Visually, and technically, it is really impressive. Switching on your headlamp by touching the side of your head just strikes me as genius. The interaction with your human counterpart (the female Cmdr of the station) is top notch, and your locomotion in zero-g via thrusters and grabbing/pulling yourself through your environment really highlights the strengths of VR in a space sim.
That being said, I'm good after about an hour of gameplay (where in ED, an hour is my warm-up!), and there are bugs.
If ED used the Lone Echo model for the out-of-ship experience (as far as look/feel/locomotion), I think I would dissolve into a pool of pure contentedness while handing over my credit card.

Superhot VR (sounds like, but is not pr0n) is fun for a little bit. I'd enjoy it more if my play area allowed for some more space to duck/dodge/shoot/swing/throw.

Hahaha. Not likely. Me flailing about with a stupid vr headset and move controllers while the cat hides under the shelves!

Lone Echo is top of my list for when I have some time for a new game. It seems like the closest we have to an AAA VR game.

RE: Superhot VR (really fun game), I just saw this video on /r/oculus. Impressive! and kind of nauseating.

Another vote for Lone Echo ... it's probably THE premier AAA VR title and is brlliantly done.

Other suggestions:

Robo Recall - just an insane amount of robo wrecking fun.

Aircar - it's just a tech demo really, flying around a Blade Runner-esque city in an air taxi, but it gives a little taste of how cool it would be to have rain in Elite

The archery game in Valve's The Lab ... very satisfying

Not games but a couple of other VR must-haves imho are:

Google Earth VR

Tilt Brush

In no particular order:

Wilson's Heart
The Mage's Tale
Dead & Buried
Minecraft
Alien Isolation
Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes (<----not a single player game. Must have at least one other.)

All fantastic. Not perfect, but awesome just the same!

Now, back to my Asp....

I'll add to the list I expect you to die which is brilliant and funny game.

I love playing ETS2/ATS in CV1, it's just very relaxing...good if you want to chill a bit.

And just recently I've discovered an Overkill...quite a good VR shooter game too, thing is I am slowly being fed up with all the 'wave shooters'...but Overkill is rather good.

I spent a lot of time playing Subnautica with my Rift on.
The frame covers up some of the read-out in the goggles, but I didn't know it was there until I loaded it up on a monitor.
