Modes Can we get more players into Open Play?

You cant even understand the differences between BGS and PP yet are stubborn and clueless.

Whats the point of answering here if you cant even comprehend the underlying issue. You arguing in favour of the modes to have equal access to the content, yet fail to see that there is hardly any content to access. Go ahead and play PP in solo and not for modules, we will see how far you will get.

Explain what you think the underlying issue is then, because you seem to be saying you don't care about PP the BGS or mode choice.

You are correct, at the current game state I dont care about neither because any direct PVP resistance (the biggest and toughest threat in the game) can be completely avoided in SOLO, which renders open mode to have the most risks yet the same rewards as other modes. This is called unbalance.

Mode choice was a major selling point you might as well ask them to remove the spaceships.

Then why in the name of all that is holy can't you and a few other posters stop bleating your backsides off about it?

Here's what I think, I think you do care but because you've been shot down by so many people and know for a fact that the developer hasn't even remotely hinted that they want to provide what you want you pretend you, and others, now 'don't care'. I recognise this sort of behaviour, when my boys were younger and one ate his dinner and got a treat but the other didn't the one that lost out would feign 'not caring' either, however, then, like now, it was painfully obvious that it was breaking their heart.

Fer someone who claims not to care, yer certainly ranting enough about it and the biggest challenge or toughest threat in the game...I would say the biggest challenge by far is playing powerplay using pvp and expecting it to make a huge impact. Thats the way its been designed strangly enough which is the point yer just not getting.

As fer the pirate language...ye understand enough of it to comment on it so whats the issue? Ye got some sorta OCD trigger with the use of correct grammar or something? Why should I care whether ye like it or not? Debate the topic not the writing style otherwise ye lose the whole point of yer argument...not that there actually appears to be a point because yer literally complaining about something that is working as intended.

Ye wanna be spicy then be spicy...its more amusing than constructive though and Ill write whatever way I choose to write...read it and respond or ignore it...either way I really couldnt care less if yer that shallow to argue over semantics ^

Station blockade, you would all end up in sidewinders after a very short time. Instancing, yes, but unlike SOLO there is no guarantee you will never instance with the wrong people, there is always a risk, stop using it as an excuse, its obvious why you prefer to be hiding in SOLO/PG and screwing up someones BGS, instancing will not save you.

If you are so sure that you will never instance with anyone you dont want not fly in Open?

Blockades cannot be run by players, only by Frontier.
And I can guarantee you'd only see me once in Open max.

Then how does your blockade work? (Hint: after I've blocked you from instancing with me)

You cant even understand the differences between BGS and PP yet are stubborn and clueless.

erm... I'm the one having to explain the basics to you.
Like reading the sales pitch, the EULA, how the game was made where each person picks whom they play with.

Whats the point of answering here if you cant even comprehend the underlying issue.

The "issue" is your tantrum because you're not getting your own way.
This game wasn't made for you, but you insist it should be scrapped and remade for you.

The answer is no.

You arguing in favour of the modes to have equal access to the content, yet fail to see that there is hardly any content to access. Go ahead and play PP in solo and not for modules, we will see how far you will get.

If there is no content, why are you here arguing for people to play the content in open?

I'm not your content. I'm blazing my own trail.

Its just irritating, it has nothing to do with grammar. Its like Me WrItInG LiKe ThIs, YoU CaN STiLL UnDeRsTaND but its irritating to read.

As long as the game designed the way it is designed I dont care about the content. If PVP does nothing in PP than how come people try to avoid it (even PP players). If it does nothing to affect your PP game, why are you hiding in SOLO, you should be fine in open since you wouldn't be affected by it.

Abusing the out of game mechanics in order to gain advantage in the game its something fDEV should take a look at, its a similar issue with the 3 modes, you are hiding from a valid in game threat by other players. Blocking is no different than using the private modes to manipulate yourself into a win. Its an approved approach by FDEV, but if they want for PP to be used more then acquiring modules, they should revisit those features.

Right now, with current game mechanics I dont care and never will.

Would I want to care and participate if the game mechanics will change to make the content balanced? Absolutely.

So it's not unlike unwanted ganky PvP. It's irritating, has nothing to do with the game. You're allowed within the rules of course, but it's irritating to be in the same galaxy.

Sucks to be on the recieving end innit?

since you wouldn't be affected by it
I wouldn't be affected by any of this. I'm out exploring 99% of the time, and have enough safe havens to avoid irritants.

But I am able to look past what does and does not affect me, and your proposals will negatively effect a great deal of players just to appease some egocentric ones which feel the game is a wiener measuring contest. Who respond to not getting what they want by going: If I can't get what I want, then I'll start shooting noobs. I was all in favour of an Open PvP based Powerplay, until I realised there might be people in Solo and Private who enjoy Powerplay. Which is why I reconsidered in favour of a complementary option where all modes can either cooperate or work against each other.

It's funny how those who claim to be the most social of the community hardly ever think of anyone but themselves.

Who said anything about out of game - there is an in game block feature.
Stops all chat and instancing (unless there is crossover with one of my friends being in your wing kind of thing, but as I'm picky who I have on my friends list, aint ever going to happen).

Frontier made the in game block feature, to help us choose who we play with, so as I said.

You'd see me once. Then waste loads of time looking for me doing my thing in Open.
Blockade avoided. I still get those tasty trade goods, you get to twiddle your thumbs wondering why station stocks are depleting / increasing.

Ok and thank you for reinforcing the issue, you can manipulate anything you want from your hiding spot, couldnt care less about that content with this design.

The design clearly states I can choose who I play with. The only exception to that is you cannot force someone to play with you.

This was all very clear from the start.

Is that right?, then maybe you'll be able to explain to me why you have almost twice as many posts as anyone else in this thread considering this is a subject you don't care about at the moment?

He did care about it 48 hours ago, I think the message is starting to sink in.
Maybe another day to two and the penny will drop. We will teach him;

This is a PvE game, with optional (consensual) PvP.
All content and game mechanics are built upon players choosing who to use them with, or without.

You dont need to teach me anything, based on your posts, I am better in your own game as well (PVE).

lol, from some who said they wouldn't touch PvE with a 10 foot pole, now you want to claim to be the best at it.

You wouldn't happen to be orange with tiny hands and wispy hair by any chance :D :D :D

All PVPiers went through every single PVE content this game has to offer, many many times, engage in PVP and you will be better in PVE as well.

'Do or do not, there is no want'

PP has a great potential to provide proper content, but it will require changes in the core game design.
