It's actually happened before, so far Iv escaped 100% of the time in this build up til now. I can usually duck into SR and boost away at 660m/s.
However, if it does go wrong, my rebuy is only 84k

You could be right about the Cutter, although others have told me he has logged on them to. A lot of people do freak out and log once they hear the "FSD reboot" warning.

That was the impression I got. He was hit by the FSD rebooter, panicked, and task killed. Elite combat rank isn't worth the paper it's printed on these days.
