Forget it

I doubt it would happen, you already have a kill rotation button, it is called Flight assist ON. It really isn't difficult to learn how to stabilize a ship with FA-OFF, it is the most basic part of learning to fly FA-OFF.

With all that being said, I am never against additional functions that are optional. Just can't see the devs spending time on what is essentially training wheels for some cmdrs that would like to use FA-OFF

I agree here... With the HOTAS properly configured, it's easy enough to swap between the two (off/on) to stabilize the ship accordingly.

Kill rotation in stations or in general?

Focus UI right / Functions / Rotational Correction ON / OFF
Stops or starts the space station rotating underneath you while trying to dock
(If you like it hard, try parking yourself on this setting)

Escape / Controls / Mouse Controls / Relative Mouse X-Axis (and y-Axis)
(Mouse over the setting to see what it does / options to change rate)
(See further down in the options for analogue)

There are also options for yaw into roll with FA-OFF

There are also options to set a toggle on / off or hold option to one FA-OFF button
(I changed this from default A to space bar - easier to use your thumb as needed)

Also optional override settings when landing, have a look / read the instructions ;)

As I said, I understand the established contempt for people who want features perceived as "making things easier". "Training wheels", in fact, for someone who's played this game since beta, for someone who spent years playing EVE Online, for someone who's flown thousands of hours on flight simulations, who was more than capable of flight and combat in First Encounters with full Newtonian dynamics (and is only sorry that flight mechanic didn't make it into ED), and in whose military-sim days used to enjoy lofting freefall bombs onto targets by eye in Falcon 4 just to see how accurate I could get (fairly accurate, for the record).

Please don't try to be reading contempt into my intent. I will demonstrate contempt to you if you continue to apply it to a sober answer based on experience.

As for the years of experience, I'm at a loss here. I have been flight simming since the early 90s and while I haven't had experience in Newtonian Physics for that long, a couple of games tried to get this right back in the early 90s so the conversion to it was a lot easier for me to adapt to than I thought. In fact, since acquiring the T1600, I've found it easier to adapt with the button position on the thrust control than I did when I was running a keyboard and flightstick.

But what I was trying to explain was that the things some gamers will see as Filthy Casuals wanting an easy mode can sometimes be simulation enthusiasts wanting simple features in a 34th-century setting that are pretty basic here in the 21st (and which are jarring in their absence). For some people it's not about "can't". I'm quite capable of zeroing the rotation of my ship manually. But it's a pain in the a... donkey. It's not that I can't - it's that I don't want to have to bother, and honestly I can't see why anyone would.

Ah, so you're looking for an easy button. Well... Given that FDev has not addressed the ongoing issues with skill in this game being nothing more than a steep learning curve for kiddie rides; I can't see why not. Add it, sure... Not that it'll happen given how glacial changes are to this game. Not to mention fixes.

Good luck getting it added to the queue. I hear you have better chances winning the British Lottery.

As already explained, I have no issues with additional assists in game, no issue at all. Just pointing out that it would be highly unlikely the devs would put time into adding an additional feature like stabilization. there are much more basic QoL features that we have been asking for since Beta.. Still waiting

The thing is stabilization is the easiest part of Flight assist off, you make an input, all that is required is the same counter input to stabilize, it is the first thing you should learn before attempting more advanced techniques, correct joystick setup is essential, once you learn that you can do it in your sleep. Frustration from users generally comes from not understanding what the ship is doing, or overcorrecting during manoeuvres.

All the best to you, hopefully the devs will read your post and eventually implement stabilization, I just wouldn't hold my breath if I was you.
