I was about to dock at Chango in solo play, after back and forthing to build up credits, right at the entrance when *boom* *boom* *boom* I was destroyed, from 100% shields. No time to react at all. Back to square one.

be a man and fight to the death! no repairs! repairs are for wimps. also you save money if you dont repair, obviously. never ever repair; unless you can do it yourself, of course. also, dont use lasers. ram the asparagus! lasers are for wimps (as well).

would chuck norris repair his ship or use lasers? no, he wouldnt! and you shouldnt!

Don't fight the muggers. Haven't you seen Ghost? Run.

There will be complete mismatches in ED. If you are in the starter ship with no upgrades run.

You can always start again from square one. Run delivery missions, don't get in fights and you'll make cash hand over fist.
Why? I always survive a duel with a pirate. Only a duel, not a group.

Like investors are going say anything negative, what about a vote for being tedious?

They are negative voices, of course, but this are only a very small group of ppl. Maybe the game is not for everyone, but hey, thats ok!

Its not your game? No problem, just stay away from it.

What i cant understand : WHY you are post in a forum of a game that you didnt like?

It's completely understandable newcomers to the game are put off by the learning curve.

The game is sorely lacking a decent tutorial to ease players in at the moment. I wouldn't say it was hard at all, it's just inaccessible.

did you perchance get scanned right before you died? if so you either had illegal cargo (not always clear as you can buy it on the standard marketplace in some stations but have to sell on the black market at others) or, you picked up a cargo canister that became 'stolen goods'

and the offline combat missions are what, chopped liver?

fair enough they dont include docking, hyperspace or frame shift but it includes all the eliments you need to learn to be able to fly and fight.

Well the OP has ninja'd his post but because he clearly didn't know what he was getting into. If you know what you are doing then you've got your insurance covered and know the odds. He didn't and he should of run.

You can build up credits in Eranin, at Eranin 2 Federal Distress signal, and choosing Eranin side. Fed defence fighters are easy pickings for your FREE Sidewinder. If you die then you lose your credits from that battle, but in a short amount of time you will be good enough to get 20 kills which is about 7000 once cashed in.

Better than trying to trade in a sidey like I started off doing. Also I am able to kill most pirates in sideys or eagles,, after all the practice, unless they have railguns. I'm crap PvP.

Mind you, I started trading in a Sidey. Yesterday. I now have my viper having gone through an eagle, hauler, then the viper. Trading is not too hard :)

I made 400k credits without dying once & I started yesterday. I dunno what you're doing. But you're doing it wrong.

Wow. I died countless times and made roughly 30k. In an entire DAY. :)

There's something the "we" are doing wrong that the "you" are doing right, and I want to get behind it.

Probably we're just too combat minded and don't want to trade (I also find trading in a Sidewinder pointless).

Yeah, trading is easy enough, but I like to have a look and see who is picking a fight with me before I crap it and run. If I think I'm hard enough at the time I like a fight. I lose a lot of cargo, that's the path I am taking, and enjoying.

Tip: if you've just started and only have 1k, keep an eye on the bulletin board for 'deliver this' missions for high value cargo and long delivery times.

they give you the cargo so all you do is sell it at the market and use the cash to fill your hold up. once you've earned a bit you can buy another of the item you sold and make your way to the delivery destination to complete the job before it times out and you get fined.

also while you trade keep an eye out for said item on the cheap, i had a tonne of harvesters that i sold for 1900 and replaced somewhere else for 1600 so not only did i make a profit from using the cash to up my trades, i made 300 extra on the mission as well :D
