Guys, I found a forest of Brain-Trees!

Hey there commanders!

I've found this huge forest of 'Brain Trees' whilst exploring, and I don't think anyone has found so many in one spot as this. Its also very close to the bubble, at less than 800 light years.

I couldn't find another thread where we collate data on these (I found one for geysers and volcanism, but assumed Plant Life would be different) so I've posted it here.

Yeah, I was sadly in a bit of a rush when I found this place and forgot to take some more screenshots. Thankfully I'd written down the co-ords.

Now that's intresting. Weren't they found in Systems containing Guardian Ruins? Maybe you've discovered a new Guardians bubble

Brain Three sites vary in size a bit, but they tend to be around 1 square kilometer in size, so roughly 1 km on each side. I can't tell from your screenshot if the site you've reported is significantly bigger than others. How long would you say the site is, from one end to another?

And btw, this site is probably part of the "field" of Brain Tree systems in the Col 173 area, which extends for about 1000 Ly in each direction. I don't think this is part of a new guardian bubble.

Looks huge to me, I've never seen comparisons to others, relativity doesn't really matter, OP's still excited to have discovered it. Well done, OP, have some rep.

Haven't been to see one of these yet, I shall go and visit, since, as you say, it's quite close to the bubble.

Is there anything to do once you get there?

Indeed, it's very exciting, and I do not want to detract from that!

However, relativity does matter. Since he said "I don't think anyone has found so many in one spot as this" we could be looking at something new, which would be even more exciting.

im at the site.
Sure, its about 1.3 x 1.5 km. but the thing is the density of the mat spawns. Incredible.

Polonium and merc are the good stuff.

Kind of hard to spot this site with current time of day.. no shadows (switched to ULTRA SHADOWS.. that's better[money])
Even from 3 km altitude I was wondering where it is.
Nice find!

I also went back this morning to check size and I agree, about 1.3 x 1.5km sounds about right.

I might have jumped the gun with saying it might be the biggest field out there, but crikey if it isn't dense.

Hi tea_rex, well done, although I see at least one more splash crater there that needs a look at, bottom right hand corner, I generally find if there's one splash crater with brain trees there's a good chance they will be found in the others.

Welp, I'm a good distance from there now xD

I will have to check it out on my way back home to the bubble next week :)
