Might be because Robo recall has been practically developed in concert with Oculus and with a well known and standardised engine.
FD is not that, even close.
I wish FD would just honestly rewrite the whole engine, it's getting a bit long in the tooth, especially for VR, then again VR is going to change even more drastically down the line so the smart money might be placed at waiting another few years before doing that.

I would not hold my breath with Fdev. Of course I could be wrong and in 24hrs see inara and netflix from the dash of my cutter. But seeing how it took 1.5yrs for them to find a half a.. solution to the high res screenshot bug, with patches after patches and no correction, I am not expecting it to occur this week. Such a big change, may happen quicker, since more people are affected. Let’s see.

Are they over that side of the Pond?? They should open a Brit office right next door to FD's new home and have connecting adjoining doors, you know, for that, 'oh so important game code collaboration'
Ditto - The only problem is that Oculus do staggered rollouts, Dec 6th is just the first day they begin the roll out and not nessessarily the day any of us will get the beta. I really hope we do get it today though, I have lots of things I'm looking forward to testing in Elite and otherwise
I'm reading reports that the Core 2.0 beta is out and that people have accessed it by opting out and then back into the Beta stream. I can't validate this myself as I'm not at home, if anyone is - give it a try and report back!

I'm looking for something conclusive right now - just a few bits of hearsay at the moment. I'll update when I find something but my best chance of confirming the reports is out on a call at the moment so not at home to check home....if you know what I mean.
They're fibbing. Opting out and back in does prompt that the software is downloading an update but it doesn't actually do anything.
Opted into the beta stream few hours ago.
No changes so far.
It will happen when it happens, don't see any reason to rush it.
