What I've mainly seen from posts of PvP players is they normally complain they're being
forced to participate in PvE in this game... usually in terms of having to pay for rebuys.
(Guess everyone needs a job to pay the bills)
Keeping this light hearted: I don't think I've seen
any PvP players complain they have to engage in PvE, and even less complain about rebuys. Is this something you've actually seen or just fabricated because it sounds impressive?
Any PvP player I know recognises that PvE is mandatory and that PvP is "endgame"; that is, you must progress initially through PvE activities (most methods of earning money between CMDRs only are deliberately hamstringed to avoid any potential money farming/transferring exploits). However, once you have got to the end, there is nothing that really challenges a strong player; PvE combat becomes little more than a farming exercise, and earning money for rebuys is seldom an issue unless you enjoy flying a cutter into each and every PvP engagement.
More often than not, it's PvP players offering advice to newer players on earning dem rebuys. Once ya put the pitchforks down we're some of the most open to giving constructive help.
You're forgetting something. PvE doesn't ruin other players experiences, Your definition of PvP does.
Gee whizz, I met a psychic, guys!
As I didn't mention my definition of PvP anywhere and I can't be bothered to type it as you're already so knowledgeable, would you mind sharing my definition with the class for study?
Cheers bro.
I'd go one further.
Remove Open. Make it two choices....
Private Groups
Solo
Bingo.
Why stop there? Remove Solo and PG. Training missions are the only true consensual fights!
Stitch is nice, and smart and funny. I like Stitch. Now that I've actually read AA's post which Stitch was trying to provide a counter-point to, I agree even more
