Default grey/white space suit is blinding in VR in some ships...

I've bought a lot of stuff on the store, lots of paint, lots of stickers, etc. But I've never felt a need to change the way my pilot looks because I almost never see him. Then I go into VR sometimes, and the suit seems white, so whenever I have part of the suit in my field of vision, it's like looking through a windscreen with the sun in your eyes, plus god rays from the headset lenses, it's very distracting and immersion breaking, I avoid looking down in any way and it's changing my VR behaviour slowly.

I don't really want to buy any clothes for my avatar, mainly because I don't feel I should need to and there's nothing available that really catches my eye or fits what I can envision him wearing (I want as much black ops look as I can get), so what I propose is to offer two basic shades in Holo Me, the grey/white we have now and black. For free. Please.

I will go and buy my pilot some dark clothes, because I don't want to be blinded in VR constantly, but something to think about for beyond please.

Cheers!

I agree this is a unique problem for the VR CMDR. I bought flight suits a while ago because I'm a sucker for micro-transactions for games I love. But you may consider tweaking your gamma settings to see if you can reduce the god rays; the other benefit of doing this is that the sky will be darker and a little closer to being realistic.

Thanks for the tips.

There is ugly clipping on one of the flight suits in vr.

I filed a bug, but I never heard back from anyone on it.
