Effects of Bounties & Combat Bonds on Faction Influence

I'm getting some conflicting and possibly dated information on the effects of bounties and combat bonds on minor faction influence and want something cleared up.

1. Does handing in a bounty affect the influence of the faction that owns the station, or the faction that issued the bounty? Also, is the influence change only within that system, or is it a global change throughout all the systems that the faction has a presence in?

2. Same question, but for combat bonds.

3. How is faction influence affected when turning bonds and bounties in with an interstellar factor?

Yes, these are probably stupid questions, but humor me.

Bounties benefit the issuing faction as long as they have a presence in the system that you hand them in at. i.e Collect them in the system that the faction is in control and hand them in at a system in any station where said faction is present and it will increase the faction in the system you handed them in only.

Combat bonds by their very nature, Only benefit the faction in the system they at war in. Although anecdotal evidence has it that you can save them from one war and use them in another for the same faction in a different system. The jury's out.

I'm pretty certain that the interstellar factor doesn't give influence to anyone, neither the issuing faction nor any faction in the factor's system. You do still get the reputation from the issuing faction though.

Just so that I'm 100% crystal clear on this, combat bonds can only be turned in at the same system the war is taking place in, in order to positively affect system influence for the faction who issued them, correct?

You can also hand in combat bonds in other systems the issuing faction is present, but not at war, for positive influence. I've done this on multiple occasions as recently as last week.

However, unless there's major issues in a different system, this isn't a good use of time as not handing in bonds in the war system may risk losing the war.

Yes, but does handing the bond in positively affect the faction's influence, globally, across all of the systems they have presence in at the same time?

In other words, a faction has presence in 5 systems. I hand in a bond at one of those systems, not the one the war takes place in, does it have the same affect on all 5 of those systems at the same time?

No. It will only increase influence in the system that faction is present in.

e.g Faction A is present in Systems 1, 2, 3, and 4.
Faction A is at war in System 2. The only thing that will increase influence for Faction A is handing in bonds earned for that faction in the war in System 2.
If you hand those bonds in at System 2 (where the war is), it will have a positive increase for Faction A in System 2 only.
If you hand those bonds in at System 3 (where the faction is in a None state), it will have a positive increase for Faction A in System 3 only.

Exactly what I needed to know. o7

What is the optimum value to hand in for maximum influence effect? I was told that handing in bounties in Cr 1M chunks maximised the influence effects. Is it the same for Combat Bonds?
