Keep losing binding - deploy hardpoints ???

I decided to remap my secondary binding for deploy/stow hardpoints to a different button on my FWCS Throttle.

To be precise from a button to the rotary slider axis on the left of the handle. When it works you just have to rotate forward then back and the weapon deployment toggles. Easy.

And this works fine until either randomly mid-game (after docking/SC/Hyper-Space*) or after logging out etc upon which it has defaulted back to the old secondary assignment????

I've never had this problem before and every other adjustment I've made stays put with no problems.

Before I put a bug report in has anyone else seen this or similar??? :S

* TBH I haven't pinpointed what actually triggers the mid game switch but it does occur whilst playing in-game without any logging to desktop or menu.

Strange, I have two rotary functions, silent running/sensor range. Both of those work fine through the rotarys & voice attack commands. I'll assign weapon deployment to a rotary, see if I can reproduce your issue.

Cheers! Just to clarify and I'm not sure if it matters but it's not a full continuous rotary, essentially a slider on a wheel.

My wife has been having problems with ‘deploy heatsink’ unmapping itself. Not sure how far back it goes. She had a big Windows 10 update a week or so ago, though.

Yeah, I've been having major issues with this although I can't save any changes to my control set up at all.

Having tried a few things in the bindings folder but I think I'm going to have to start again from scratch a re map all my settings....annoying.

This happened after the last patch, not sure what changed.

Make sure you have the correct privileges on windows:

  1. Press Windows key + R and type control userpasswords2 and click OK
  2. Select your user name and click Properties
  3. Click on Group Membership
  4. Make sure Administrator option is selected
  5. Click the option Other and select Administrator from dropdown
  6. Click Apply and then OK
  7. Restart the computer

It’s bizarre but Windows and the (poor) way ED binding system works create nothing but problems for me (https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/393977-Bindings-lost-after-disconnecting-joystick).

Good luck!

Cheers, I'll try that.

Meanwhile bug reported here: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showt...lts-to-previous-mapping?p=6240990#post6240990

Well whatever that did it works!

I left the game with the binding defaulted back to the original setting, did this and now it has re-reverted to my new key binding.

Madness :D +!

Since I got a new hotas (tm16000) I find the bindings sometimes aren't recognised. I find that esc>options>controls and then clicking 'apply' without altering anything fixes it.

I wouldn't recommend running as admin all the time just to fix an occasional issue with one game.
