Detention Facilities for Greifers

I dont know if this on the road map, but I think people who go around murdering in PVP should eventually be locked out of the game, and they spawn in Detention Facilities if they try to log in to the game.

For first offense, 10 days,
Second offense, 30 days
Then 60
Then 120

Ok,

So I really hate seeing shieldless traders, so they shouldn't be allowed to play anymore...

I also hate all Imperial ships, so they can go too.

Asps are also kinda annoying.

Every time I see any of those, they should be locked out of the game for 10 days, then 30.......

That'll work.

What will actually work, is either pick a mode you're comfortable with, learn to evade these types, or block them.
While you may not like it, PvP is part of ED.

Those values are WAYYYYYY to high, yeh.
what I would like to see is if you are shot down whilst you have a bounty on you, you can absolutely pay the rebuy as normal but you cannot ACCESS the ship until the bounty duration has ran out.
so a player that racks up 100mill bounty then dies has to play in something else for the week or so until its cleared (have it as a separate "claimed" bounty or something) but they totally can play the game

that seems like a fair "crime and punishment" effect, not primarily for pvp but just in general
thoughts?

I believe that an overhaul of crime-and-punishment is in the works - something about respawning in detention if you die with an active bounty?

However PvP and piracy are legitimate roles in the game, and can't therefore incur extra-game penalties such as disbarring. Elite is suppose to be deadly? The current pain-in-the-mule is the lack of consequences in game to balance such roles.

well, if the PVP really bothers you to make a server exclusively PVE and we talk more, impossible to tackle between players, even more simple, but I do not think I have read that it is planned,

rather to improve the pvp by balancing it and reducing the losses of money and time when one is destroyed.

You may have a point if they interfered with your game play, but they don't. If you're trying to make an analogy, it's a very silly one

Deliberately ignores already proposed roadmap content, proposes suggestions aimed at preventing murderers actually play.

Lolol. 2/10 trolling attempt. Better luck next time.

A'right, you have a point. Those that intefere with your gameplay should be banned entirely.

FD, please remove all NPCs. Oh, and BGS players. That leaves...ah yeah...

i could say the same for combat loggers which is an exploit they use, this would teach them to actually try to get away or take the rebuy however this is going off topic, murdering ppl over and over again, fine im interested to see how the detention facilities will work but banning ppl from the game temporarily for something that isnt a exploit not so sure perhaps if you were to die you would be put in the detention centre depending on your crimes in pvp like a person who went around killing 20 clean cmdrs.

and yes i realised i took the bait, il show myself to the bar :)

Embrace the suck... Why dont they create pirate hubs that you must have a bounty to access. If youre not wanted then they will kill you upon docking. This will embrace the pvp murderers (those scallywags!) and create an interesting new aspect to gameplay.

This creates new opportunity for interesting "in system" missions (raid the pirate base) as well as some varied gameplay for pvp players
