The point was that the stuff they discussed in the DDF (which was started after Kickstarter) was not promised during Kickstarter. I don't see how you could possibly fail to understand that, but since English isn't my first language I guess I am to blame for that.
How do you promise stuff that hadn't even been discussed yet? However if they had sold the DDF citing that 99% of what was spoken about within would be ignored, how many do you think would have sifgned up for it?
Again, I absoultely don't understand how you could fail to understand what I tried to say. I am obviously talking about the stuff they talked openly about and not behind closed doors.
It doesn't really matter if CQC and PP are part of the Kickstarter, it's their game and if they want to add it there is no reason they shouldn't (I wish they would not have wasted time on that too). By the way, PP is part of the DDF via Tier 1 NPCs. And they did announce console ports during Kickstarter, they always said they want to bring the game to different platforms, I can go and find a link if you want.
Quite a few things were talked about openly during the KS and during the dev process that has yet to be seen.
I suggest you contact your lawyer, I was talking about the game and not physical rewards.
Cited to highlight the disdain FDev has for it's backers - nothing screams "pineapple you" more than "we are keeping your money, even though we didn't give you what we sold you, and we've made millions and millions and millions because you backed our project"
Your Kickstarter money only provided a fraction of the initial development costs (which were around 20 million IIRC) so following your argument you owe them money.
#1 - Misdirection answer - the fact remains that FDev did not refund the money taken for 3d models, which for some is up to £650 - which is unforgivable.
#2 - By your argument every game that flops because of lack of sales has a right to go back to those customers and sue them for lost revenue. GL selling a copy of ANY game EVER AGAIN
I'd also say that FDev has done pretty damn well off the back of the Kickstarter backed ED - revenue last year was £37.5 MILLION GBP, DB made a personal share sale of £30 MILLION GBP, and the share price is a whopping £14.55 EACH as of today.
Again, I suggest you contact your lawyer rather than posting on their forums.
Why? This is no secret and I'd say that thier forums is EXACTLY the place to put it. Frontier Development (and DB) PRIOR to the KS was not on the stock exchange, DB was not a multi millionaire, they had no ability to buy the franchise rights for jurassic world and the majority of todays younger gamers had not even heard of Frontier Developments OR David Braben.
ED CHANGED EVERYTHING for FDev, and yet neither they or DB personally has the honor to return the £200,000 paid for the 3d models; which BTW is a mere 0.6% of last years revenue (give or take) to those backers that helped make it happen.
If you don't like your dirty behaviour made public - don't do it in the first place.
Again, I don't understand how you managed to misunderstand my post. I am not talking about player accounts but about development of content. Anyway, since you are talking about player accounts, if it's worth anything, steam charts currently says that there are more people in the game than in 2014.
I didn't misunderstand you - you misunderstood my point - Eve Online is STILL BEING DEVELOPED, there was another major expansion in Oct 2016, and AGAIN in November 2016 (april 2016 / Dec 2015 / etc etc etc) - and it's been that way for all those years. A game CAN LAST 15+ years if it continues to update, innovate and invest.
To date there have been THIRTY NINE content additions in 15 years - CCP are probably one of the most prolific content creators in the gaming world.
http://www.eveonlineships.com/pag.php?pag=603&l=eve-online-expansions.
Steam charts prove that anyone will be willing to chance £5 on a game, with the game plus expansion only costing £10 - lets see how many sales steam is showing for ED now it's back up to full price?
Funny that you say that, because that's exactly what I think as well and what I just posted in another thread that I started. However I don't know if they would've run out of money and we would end with no game at all, which is why I still believe that DBOBE makes a better CEO than both of us.
DB - being a better CEO, debateable - depends if you base your theory on financial success or Honor and Principles. There's more to business than money, and once you've made a personal fortune of 30+ million I think you can afford to recognise that you didn't do it alone, and honor the commitments you didn't previously.
FDev - on the orders of DB REFUSED TO GIVE the offlinegate refund - and only did so after several class action lawsuits were issued against them.
That is not the actions of a man or company with principles or honor.
People are still playing.
Because there are many people who are quite happy to NGAS as ED is just one of dozens of games that they play.
