Will Escort for Gold

Not sure where to post this so I'll just post it here.

Any traders need of an escort let me know.

I'll work for free ATM. I'm currently flying a fully equipped Anaconda. Happy to help the more uneasy pilots get their space legs.

I'm usually online after 20:00EST.

Also, any dogfighters interested in teaming up and heading to the combat areas as a two-ship let me know.

Come with me to this nice Anarchy system - it's way over there far from populated areas so there's some juicy targets... honest! ;)

Oh you cynical fellows...

To be honest it's getting a little boring flying around all by myself. Thought it would be fun to ride shotgun for some people.

I mean think about it. If I were to actually pirate someone I was escorting word would get out pretty quick wouldn't it!

Anyway, just a thought.

I'm waiting for all the cool stuff like multiplayer. I'd be interested to hear if it worked out - i.e. the instancing system works well, and if multiplayer is fun.

You guys just don't give up do you?

To the OP: At present your services are simply not needed by anyone.
There is no danger.. you can run away from all interdictions and trade yourself to vast wealth with no risk.;)

What we have on these forums a lynch mob which patrols around and jumps upon anything that borders upon the multiplayer element of the game. :rolleyes: But welcome to the game and I hope you have some fun :)

Whoa. Cool your jets there buddy. If I've appeared to be anti multi-player anywhere it is purely down to not making myself understood not because that is what I intend. I just made a, not very good I'll admit, joke. I'd love to hear stories about various ways players have found to con each other while role playing in ED. But I don't really think that is what the OP was trying to do. Is it possible that tensions are high enough in the forum that people jump to conclusions and categorise people as one extreme or the other? I said in a post today that I think quite a few people who probably intend to play solo might just try multi-player and be tempted to stay. But I don't think the success of the game depends on it and lots of people have perfectly valid reasons for playing solo. Live and let live me. Feel free to PM me if I've done something that upset you and you don't want a public spat.

I actually like the idea of in-game reputation. Currently if you incur a bounty you can have it easily wiped by paying it off at any station. I think it should be able to be forgiven, but not forgotten? Like if you have a history of pirate activity it would be cool to see (regardless of bounty or wanted status) if you've incurred many penalties which might give meaningful information to those getting ready to group up.

Would be great if we could have meaningful interactions like that. Traders hiring mercs for guard duties and similar, since it's things like these that make a universe actually feel alive and vibrant.
Unfortunately, due to specific mechanics currently in place, there's just no one in need of your service (and, even worse, probably never will be).

If you want to add me I also have the money for a Conda, but at the moment I'm enjoying the smaller ships as I flew the Conda in PB. Loving the Viper at the moment.

My in game name is Kingskins. I'm currently in a private group (there's about 10 or more of us in total) just while the new guys get used to it and learn the ropes. Then we'll all be heading to open play.

The TS server they use is 85.236.100.188:14607 I'm sure they wouldn't mind another skilled pilot joining the crew!

Also my own TS server is 85.236.100.85:20197.

I don't mind earning credits from other players doing this. Why not? You don't always HAVE to earn credits only from in-game provided missions and trading, right? It's a sandbox. If you have the imagination and the creativity to create a business opportunity, I say go for it!

Of course... Paid player escort service probably won't be a reality until there is some way in-game for players to TRADE to other players... money, goods etc.

Well, you can trade. Just have whatever commodity and drop a few canisters fore the other guy to pick up as payment.

And I entirely agree that this sort of thing will hopefully be another facet of the game once it's finished.

great idea why not set up an " alliance " group ok some people are way ahead of others in terms of exp and credits share the cash and lets set up our own group, i understand this is quite common in eve
