I got a mission from Wyrd to deliver 5 algae to LHS 3262. It said I could make the trip...
There was no path once I got the 5 algae to get there.
I had to jetison it, and finally found a jump I could make to LHS 3006 I stopped in G239-25 to refuel. I picked up some cargo there, because there was jumps I could make with it to Lalande 29917 and then to dn draconis. But I didn't have enough fuel to make it to LHS 3262. I dropped some cargo and back tracked a little... should have went forward... there's no stations in Lalande or dn draconis... I wasn't thinking I should check economy in Lalande for 'none' ... and it was slightly shorter so I dnidn't have to drop as much cargo I had picked up in G239-25... would have had to drop like all cargo to make the jump to LHS 3262.
But now I'm stuck in lalande. I have no fuel to jump anywhere, I have no base to refuel. I tracked down a few unknown signals... and found scrap and explosives... was hoping it would maybe be fuel... and maybe if I search long enough I can find fueld.. but likely it would be cargo and not actual fuel.
I thought that's what the reserve tank was for; but seems in my hauler I'm always using reserve fuel even for a single jump
So... how do I suicide? There's been no interdictions... was hoping the unknown signals would be encounters to kill me.
Should include in the map logic 'you can't jump this far without refueling'
Ahh; turn off life support! grr that'll take 10 minutes.
Better idea, hold silent running mode; drop out of warp drive; stop, engage warp drive and don't throttle up. That only took a minute to die.
