The Shields! Think of the shields

All the engeneers modifications have been made to be at a higher potential max than previously to match 'god' rolls...

Shields and boosters then... are we about to see ships with EVEN MORE UNPENETRABLE shields and hull?

Whats being done about this!

Some thing hast to be done... right?

Combat grind just shouldn't be a thing

Weapons are getting the same treatment so even though numbers may change there wont be a visible difference in TTK i think.

Shields up 20%
Hull Strength up 20%
Weapon Damage up 40%

Net result: Same thing.

They will not match god rolls. They will match "good" rolls from the current system.

Existing god rolls will still be better, especially where secondary effects have had their say.

Of course, that makes me feel no better about the general power creep.

Simply kick shield boosters in the nuts, and make returns much smaller. The numbers need to go down, not up.


Well, I agree. But FDev have threatened to bring in diminishing returns for booster stacking in the past only to pull the changes after beta testing. I would be surprised (but happy) to see it happen in the Q1 patch.
