I'm an original Horizons buyer lifetime pass etc and should have access to all the Beta's, yet I don't see it on my launcher. Is Beta live now as I see a lot of talk about it here?

Don't be confused, I don't need to try disembowelling someone with a spoon to know that I wouldn't enjoy it, or that the recipient wouldn't either. There you go, a statement made without experience and on behalf of someone else that is guaranteed 100% accurate. Something which if you listen to the forums around here, should be impossible.
Always makes me laugh. If you need to be doing something to know about it, then why are there tennis coaches, or any kind of full time coach? Why aren't they champions? Cos they aren't as good as champions, simple. But they can still TELL people what to do even if they can't actually do it themselves.
Experience is highly overrated, especially if you have a keen mind. In some cases it is all that matters, but not in video game theorycrafting.

That's why there is so much talk - people pin all sorts of dreams and nightmares on it. Same way hype works, just the opposite.
The passenger payout nerf (nerfing something which only came about in 2.4) hasn't helped. Now everything FD makes will be perceived as bad for a while, until the next thing comes along.

Naah. Lot of those players engaging in these get rich quick schemes (especially with board flipping) usually don't play game regularly, they mostly say they log in to "earn money for endgame" whatever that means. Funny thing is they never actually play afterwards - it is just a money in case they might decide to throw hulls together with their buddies. Which is like torn emotions for me - I like idea people having fun together in ED, but it seems they are very obsessed with this 'endgame' gear they are looking for - in each game they play apparently.
But they really won't be those who will test beta or will provide any useful feedback.
Those who do will stick around will provide their constructive thoughts anyway, even if they disagree with FD on something.

CMDR Thrust from Bradford is a mythic character that always gets mentioned in pre-Beta threads. He has always downloaded and started playing before the Beta is live and if it's version 2.5 , he'll be playing 2.6 or 3.0. It's an kind of an in joke amongst Beta players.
