I'm excited for the new c+p changes! Here's why!

Remember that the griefers will now pay a portion of their victims rebuy!

Well that means they're certainly not going to be nuking cutters and vettes in hazres's anymore!

Instead, they'll be nuking ONLY Types6/7, sidey, asps, vultures, etc. in their god roll'd ship they received from that G1 mat exploit. Also, these ships can be nuked in seconds! So system authority won't be a problem, just high/low wake!

The portion of the community that brought this on, and frontier's inability to implement a real bounty hunting system is going to make open inhospitable for newbs.

Whats that that I smell?
Is it eravate burning?

Didn't G1 Mats exploit modules get "nuked" themselves?

I also understood there was going to be a thing where the greifers rebuy was deducted from the victims ship or something like that???

I had stopped killing newbs so we could get new blood in but now im going to grief them EXCLUSIVELY say goodbye to your new player base frontier im making it my mission to ruin your game for every new player i run across😁😉😉

Not all of them.Only the high profile ones and the ones that roll'd enough g5's to be suspicious; Not the ones that got what they wanted under a few hundered rolls.

Its obviously what frontier wants!
Why else would they make c+p modeled as such?

Except those low-level ships won't be losing rebuys, since by the time you've done that a few times your notoriety will be paying for it. Plus the mega-cops will be hunting you.
Plus folk like myself (flying a ship with 60Mil rebuy) will have nothing stopping us from going all-in... the mega-cops will be supporting me, and you'll bear the cost of that re-buy.

So more consensual PvP. That's what people wanted, right?

I like the new system because I can leave my settlement bomber and trescanpasser ship at the mission station hot like a big white-blue and go about my business elsewhere without bounty hunters after my beautiful backside.

lol, you need frontier's super cops to kill griefers, that's rich.
DOES BABY NEED FRONTIER TO HOLD YOUR HAND IN OPEN?!

Good luck killing anything before it can highwake. And there's more to lose than credits, getting reset to the station and losing your missions and vouchers is a great way to be stuck in a sidey until they quit or go to solo/private.

Even if it is an imperfect solution, it is definitely progress. And griefers are not going to want to pad their resumes with Cobra or Adder kills. This game is finally headed in the right direction. Better late than never.

We just want a game that is not a griefer playground. The entire IP is based on realism...it is not realistic for a single player to roam the universe murdering anyone they want without consequences.

I am personally ok with staying in Solo/Mobius myself. But this is a good way to entice people back into open. I can definitely understand the crying from griefers though...it's not good news for them.

Oh ill just run fro. You cops lol and not engage you ive got 12 billion credits and im going. To use all of it to discourage new players thanks frontier

It is not Elite Mostly harmless and now is Elite Harmless? Yea, right direction lol.

Pilots yet not realised that it will not stop anyone. These who tried to pirate before. Now will kill without even single RP text or anything else. Also, you yet not realised what a HUGE buff FD did to suicide raming near the stations.. oh, it is gonna be fun.

Just you wait. Someone actually so naive, that they think grifers will no more? Oh, you just don't know yet..

"Elite" doesn't mean "griefer paradise". Eve did it right...there are real consequences to being a pirate. You can't roam civilized space if you are a pirate. It's realistic. That is how it should be.

Griefer tears are just the icing on the cake for me. This game has needed a real crime and punishment system for a long time.

Okay but murder is murder, why should it matter how expensive their ship was? That system makes it so that you are more heavily punished for killing somebody in an end game ship, that is somebody who should be able to defend themselves, compared to a new player in a cheap ship, who probably won't know to submit, pop a heat sink, throw 4 pips to systems and high wake. Killing your cutter at a CG isn't ruining the game or driving off the player base, nuking sidewinders in Eravate is. Which of those crimes is more deserving of punishment? I've never been into ganking noobs but I absolutely will do that to highlight how silly it is to link my notoriety to the cost of somebody else's ship. I'm also not at all worried about ATR or higher rebuys, it will not deter me, it's an inconvenience at best. You guys talking like this C&P change will finally save you from your bad piloting are in for some serious disappointment.

So you'll support a half assss solution that takes What little teeth pirates had left, kills BGS pvp wars, takes away the autonomy of CMDRs, betrays the original vision of the sandbox, and torpedos the RP of many high profile CMDRs just because you don't like "griefing".

Whos is the real griefer here?

I agree with your point. But you have to start somewhere. This is not a total solution, but it is a partial solution.

The point of this system is not to save people from getting ganked. It is to provide realistic consequences to being a mass murdering . People can get away with ganking you once or twice but they will not be able to ROFL-Stomp you indefinitely without consequences. Consequences that they will care about.

They can always find another game if they don't like it. Will we miss them once they're gone? Only one way to find out for sure.

s/highwake/combat log

But we'll see how this plays out. It's great for the few honorable people that want to do piracy as a career choice or straight up murderhoboing, and have that actually be meaningful, but the people that break the rules won't be fazed one bit until there are penalties for CLing.

Folks are still going to get ganked. The imminent C&P additions won't change that.
