Haha, there is no beach where I'm living, so apart of not being worried by the rising sea level, there is another advantage of the location.

It's kelp, lol...and I'm on one of the more remote lumps of rock in the Orkney islands... nice place if you don't mind a 3 hour each way ferry trip to Tesco for the shopping... no popping down to the shop here.

Oh, nice! I'm about 15 miles out along the east coast from Edinburgh. Some lovely beaches along here as well.
