Found in NHSS (Threat 4) in Wyrd, which is the starting system for the Beta. This particular 'Marauder' was in a Wing of 3, fighting an Adder. Hostile on arrival.

I've dropped into a Threat 5 in Wyrd and had Thargoid Scouts attack me unprovoked. They were already engaged with federal ships when I dropped in, 4-5 of them.

They're armed with the 3 shots thing and caustic missiles, the missiles seem faster than the main Cyclops etc ones.

I killed 2 and each dropped a Thargoid material.

Whether this is just for the beta or they're properly in the bubble though :eek:

I dropped in on a NHSS (Threat 6) in the Pleiades Nebula and dropped into a hostile swarm of at least 10. I was able to high wake away, but not after taking a bit of damage. They don't seem to be as powerful as the Interceptors.

That's far better than I can do.

It's called a Marauder Variant. Very agile, fairly slow (~280m/s) and low damage. Fragile though, fairly easy to destroy and can be done with normal weapons.

I've come across 3 different scenarios now, one with fed warships, one with traders and one on my own. Threat 4/5 so far, no more than 5 Marauders at a time

Dropped in on a NHSS (Threat 3) in Pleiades, 2 Thargoid Scout Ship Marauder Variants in a debris field with no scoopables. Again, they turned hostile on arrival.
