Raider kit for Corvette and Cutter

No, I am really interested to know :) We know grade leveling is here to stay, but there are tons of tweaks to make before Engineers 2.0 makes live. So I was curious what's his shortlist.

fair enough !

as for the ship kits, it will sure be funny seeing that many high ranked commanders in both navies going rogue /reavers / psychos and turning their ships into fearmongering beasts. Makes you think about their qualification process.

oh god, wlel it fots on the courvette, but on the cutter it's pure ugly, also seems to be totally random slapped on spikes for the sake of random slapped on spikes.

but heeey, someone just go and spent money on it.

it doesn't looks "raider" like looks "Scravenger" like with allt he rusty stuff and such. beign a raider dopesn't imply living on a scrapyard.

raider spiks should go visually much better with the pirate and other "punk" style ship paints.

Raider on a Cutter! :O I'd rather reach for the self destruct button!

Oh, I am so tempted to buy that Cutter kit, just cos I know how much it will offend Gutemaya fans. :p

No kidding. You buy that thing & I will hunt you down & repeatedly kill you for the rest of time and then in whatever constitutes reality next as well! What were FDev on? It's absolutely hideous!

I'm buying the corvette raider kit. The raider kit just looks wrong on the Imperial Cutter. :) Undignified.

Shepherd Book says they was commanders that went out to the edge of rank, saw the vasty grind, and just went bibbledy over it.

Seriously though, it's not actually possible to join the navy in this game. If you were in the Navy, they'd be giving you orders, and if you disobeyed, they'd be arresting you. The rank system in ED is a bit like how privateers worked, with letters of marque and all that.

I wish that ships suffered unrepairable wear-and-tear - not so much that casual players or merchants were inconvenienced by it. Just so that PvPers had to occasionally replace worn out ships and modules. Why do I think this is a good idea? Because then you could have a "used ship market" where a PvPer could sell an old ship that could no longer be fully repaired. Such a ship would still be fine as a trader. Lots of people would be happy to buy it.

What this would mean is that the benefit of getting rank would be access to *new* ships. And that old, beat up versions would be available to everyone. And that would also explain how pirates are running cutters and vettes.

it would eb so greatif havign a higher rank means random missiosn poping up giving you duty. it woudl add up so much more meanign to te game. And if you do not obey you fall at disgrace and you lose parts of your privilegs (of whch the game currently has way to few). And all this should be MUCH more connected to PP.

+1

I'm a fan of used car dealerships (used Cutter dealerships?) in most games they've been implemented into, and I think they'd make a superb addition to this game.

But I think it would require a lot of work and is not on the roadmap for FDev...

As from the other thread...I'mma be the outlier here: despite thinking the previous iCutter ship kit was a disaster, I think provided you ditch your preconception of the iCutter as a "clean" ship, it actually looks better than the 'vettes. The 'vette raider kit looks far less integrated...like someone has bought multiple of the same pack of fake spikes off the 34th century's Amazon and glued them to points all over the ship.
