Today on GalNet:
First, yes it is a just something a member of starport personnel said. Could be wrong.
But, if I'm not mistaken, this is the first time FDev directly mentions that Thargoids could move into the core systems (ignoring Beta, which could be just for testing purposes).
This significant in my opinion, because Thargoids inside the core systems will make them less optional and moving them more into the view of all players.
I think this indicates that the Thargoids won't be restricted to the Pleiades and that they will indeed affect all players in the future. Making Thargoid interference unavoidable.
This could have a huge impact on the way players play and can play the game. It could potentially completely change the "mood" of the game.
This is going to be interesting.
As with previous Thargoid assaults, the attacks have caused significant damage and resulted in huge numbers of casualties.
A member of starport personnel at Kipling Orbital offered the following:
“It seems the Thargoids are sweeping the region, moving slowly in the direction of the core systems. But why?”
