Microsoft is now providing methods to roll back or selectively disable intel's incompetent attempt at fixing Spectre-induced problems. Since those "fixes" lead to system instabilities including random BSoD events and the associated loss of work and data while not preventing any known attacks, it's probably better to check into it:
