Dove Enigma UA bombed, preventing completion of its voyage in time for the man it was named for.

Are there any hard and fast numbers on how the UA lockdown works, how many it takes to cause that status, and how many MAs it takes to reverse it?

It's widely belived to be 5 MAs to 1 UA. My tests have shown that 72 UAs can be repaired with 400 MAs. So about 5.5 average. 5 to 1 would probably do it.

Keep in mind that there's a delay in both bombing and repairing effects. I don't know the bombing delay, but my tests have shown a 2 day delay in repair after the MAs are delivered.

Yeah, Darnielle's will probably be getting low on MAs soon. The operation to repair the megaship has already started and MAs are enroute. We'll need a lot of them though. The barnacles will yield a lot of them and we can gather MAs faster than the griefers can gather UAs (TSs).

We require about 2500 MAs at the moment, but more bombs are probably on the way.
I’ll try my darndest to fill up my Cutter, but sadly I don’t get off work for another 4 hours. Hopefully Darnielle’s will still have a few MA left.

My goal is to get there before Thursday’s server tick. I’m hoping that’s possible with a 23 LY laden jump range.

Mate, anyone who finds it funny or amusing to "mess with" someone who has cancer under ANY circumstances using ANY tools available to them is disgusting and grotesque. Full stop.

See, that's an incredibly patronising and demeaning statement. Not to mention the nonsense absolutism. Also, not what I was referring to. You keep ignoring what I said, so I guess this isn't really a discussion. Just more outrage.

Wait a minute, so not only does this mechanic completely render a station unusable, it's tilted 5ish to 1 in favor of offense?

:| That's some great game design, lou.

It's really not mate. It's called being a decent human being.

I think the overriding point and sentiment in this thread is that there is actually a group of people, IN OUR GAME, that would organize to disrupt what is basically a charity event and the dying wishes of a real person who happens to love Elite Dangerous. Your post reminds me of this long appropriate sentence whenever people are failing to see the forest for the trees... "Well other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play?" There is a more modern term... Its called TONE DEAF.
But....there's no disruption. That's just a fact. The station's there; you can dock at it; you can fly around it. The expedition will happen. Here's a modern term: COGNITIVE DISSONANCE.

Aye, this thread is a veritable "These are the people to pretend don't exist and should never be allowed to have a valid opinion on anything, ever" treasure trove.

The way I look at it... They didn't exist for me until they showed up in this thread. I read their moronic drivel and determined that they go right back into the abyss of non-existence!

That is the beauty of the Ignore List.

In fact, if this forum lacked such a feature, I would have bailed years ago. The language filters and Victorian Era faux morality is constantly tugging at my gag reflex as it is.

Life is too short to be constantly reminded of how many morons there are in the world. ;)

A decent human being would treat a sick person like a human being. Do you think it's grotesque to 'mess with' people without cancer? Frankly, I prefer to be treated as an equal human, but you apparently wouldn't allow it.

You know damn well that it's incredibly poor taste to troll a charity event, and you also know damn well that's not what they said.

I think it's more that they have interfered in your fun by having fun themselves. It's always going to happen in a game like this, you just have to get over it and not throw around insults like tossers.

mate, I am treating you like a real human being... I'm telling you that you're wrong.

You're welcome. I'm going to support Dove in REAL life... by donating, by speaking out against this behavior... not with meta alloys.

I'm sorry you're suffering, but that doesn't give you the right to dictate how other's suffer.

You know damn well you didn't read the rest of our discussion. :) I don't care about the taste of anything, just the patronising, demeaning, nasty comments from people who think of themselves as the good guys here. Including the one Saving just made.

I don't understand why you're not getting this: I'm not talking about the cancer dude's suffering. I'm talking about people saying nasty things and pretending they're good. I haven't criticised the charity, or dictated suffering, or any of the things you keep coming back with.
