Just found out I played 1720 hours of ED

1720 hours thats a whole YEAR of working a fulltime job 5 days a week.
Never put any more effort into a game like ED.
Until now I have every ship i want and all engineers unlocked.
My Combat rank is Expert, Trade at 90% Entrepreneur and 2% on Pioneer Explorer.

Right now im just doing Tourism whilst my rank is slowly increasing up to ELITE explorer one percent at a time.
I do this in between feeding time for my newborn daughter.

How time flies ...

Wow, that's a lot. I think I have quite a high number of hours, but I leave ED running anytime I'm home, only restarts for updates. No idea how many actual hours I've put in, probably not a lot, in the last 12 months I've had 2 months at home.

All told adding up two accounts worth and doing an ironman save wipe a couple times, Ill hazard a guess at about 3500 hours and still going strong.

My excuse...Im disabled and cant work due to also being a single parent, so I got lots of free time ^

Is that in game hours? Or what your steam account says? Just saying there's a difference if you're anything like me and leave the launcher open 24/7 for days at a time. :D Your true time in game (including having snoozed at your joystick, lol), is in the right hand stats panel.

Also, you want explorer rank, do high paying sightseeing passenger missions. ;)

yeah im doing million + passenger missions.

when im elite explorer i might pick up the new buffed type 9 and go trading.

Im just looking around for missions to interesting locations, like the alien crash sites and geysers, tourist spots etc, would love to see my first black hole but those are really long trips.
I increased 2% today :)

Nearly 400 hours here. According to Steam that makes it my most played game. The only ones close are Skyrim and Left4Dead 2 at around 350hrs each. Every other game doesn't get much more than 100.

Of course if Steam was recording hours played in the early days of Team Fortress 2 or Battlefield 1942 then it'd be a different story...

Do you feel video game shame?
I always feel video game shame when I see the amount of hours played and think about valuable ways I could have spent that time. :D

I think that sometimes. I'm pretty sure there are better things I could have done with 2000 hours of my time. Then again, there are probably also far worse things too.
