Another Sidewinder Triple Elite attempt...

after getting a bit bored on my main account I decided to attempt the Triple in a Sidwinder (as per the amazing feat achieved by d8veh)

so I noticed on the store that Elite was on offer for cheap, so I picked up a new copy of the game and Horizons, with the Sidewinder pack and a couple of extras (Coloured lasers and nameplates)for £36..

so the challenge begins....

so the "Singularity" is born and ready to head out into the void...
one of the challenges that I have set for myself is to visit Sag A* with this ship.
engineering wise I'll probably stick to what Felicity has to offer, should be adequate for the challenge.

so into the black we go. (hopefully i wont crash and burn on exiting the station)..

just another item to add.. this will all be done not on my normal desktop machine with full hotas & pedal setup, but on an Asus Zephyrus GTX 1080 laptop with Xbox Gamepad..

had to learn to fly all over again...
spent a couple of runs on the docking training mission then once had the controls mapped as I wanted them, did half an hour running missions.

current balance 56k [haha]

You like doing difficult things then. I changed from X52 after 3500 hours to Virpil twin sticks. After maybe 500 hours, I still press the wrong buttons.

Good luck in your quest. I think it's harder now than when I did it. If you need any tips, just ask. Exploration is very straight forward. Combat is a grind, but not too difficult if you do it the efficient way. Trading will be hard without the Palin and high-paying passenger missions, but maybe there'll be a new way to get trade rank easily.

That's a nice laptop. How much did it cost?
