Looking for legal ways to irritate gankers in Open that are fun, cheap, easy and cheesy.

That doesn't challenge even a single one of the points he made.
Perhaps you have been on too many ?

"...the Elite Dangerous:Community is the most Toxic and Maladjusted Gaming Community i've ever been part of ..."

Is just pure hyperbole, unless the poster is new to gaming. The ED community is actually pretty darned decent as a whole, especially compared to the antics of places like Eve Online. It doesn't really matter that the poster throws in the weedy bone of "but it's just a minority", as they then immediately tar all players with the same brush.

I've seen enough evidence of how a lot of the Elite Dangerous community mirrors real life politics. The one side spewing hate at the other thinking that they aren't to blame, accusing the other side of what the accuser themselves are guilty of, the faux outrage/over sensitivity - it amazes me how much of the player base lacks any sort of self awareness. This is one of the biggest reasons why I don't care about other players and tend to stay off of the forums now. If I wanted to hear about social inadequates or pathetic fantasies or whatever the "rightfully outraged" want to spew out I could go to a political website.

That's some fine faux outrage you've spouted there.

Im a pretty big ganker.
Tbh chained interdictions are super annoying. However you better be gud because pretty much every ganker runs long range weapons

Get a eagle, lightweight the crap out of it, use a small biweave shield to survive a railgun volley and get chain interdicting gankers.
Tbh its only fair that we get someone tryna counter grief us

With the new C&P, get a ship with the highest rebuy imaginable and put yourself between them and their target. Every bounty they get from shooting you will be massive.

Aren't you just giving them EXACTLY what they want? You're modifying your behaviour because of them...you're reacting to them, you're engaging with them...

1. Actually, I don't care what they want.

2. I do want to engage them. Because if they are busy with me, they won't be harassing others.

3. I'm modifying my behavior because I think it would be fun. Selecting targets and watching explosions, my own included, is much more fun for me than heaven forbid, grinding for pharmaceutical isolators or going from A to B. I like learning how to maneuver ships. These ganking pilots are most likely more skilled than myself, so I might learn something.

4. I am not asking for suggestions out of contempt for gankers. I'm asking for suggestions to be more effective at interfering with their attacks. As I said in my original post, gankers currently have the right to do so in Open; this is a sandbox game. Hopefully, Fdev will implement a working C&P so that gankers activities are more proscribed. It's a question of what is and what entails and to what extent freedom of expression is and that is something my little brain recoils at thinking about.

5. Actually, thus far, my game play has been completely in Solo. But now that I'm bored in Solo I thought I would trundle off to Open and poke some fun.

6. No matter where one goes or what medium one engages in, there will always be people with whom one disagrees. I agree, ignoring gankers as best one can is one of the best solutions. However, although I have ignored the gankers, I cannot ignore the deep frustration and despair of their innocent victims. Perhaps my foolishness will help prevent one Commander from being blown up; that's worth it to me. This is an evolving game and until Fdev have developed and actually implemented more security, I might as well play vigilante and have some fun.

Wheee!!!!!! I love u.

buy an anaconda. fill it with as much as possible cellbanks...go open, fly into a secured system where they are. provoke them. after interdiction don't shoot first. recharge, before ships shields break down, let kids play their game and wait for the police... relax further and watch how they'll kill gankers step by step... this tactic is working for me a lot of times ....

If you wanna be a mega pest get a gromm bomb or a fsd reset missile and hit the gankerwhen they try and wake out. That would make even me angry AF.

The trick will be bombing runs.
Boost in reset the FSD and boost out of range.

Do it 4/2/0 so you can take a hit, also use lats to avoid plasma and dont fly straight.
Happy counter griefing CMDR. Nice to see a carebear take action rather than get salty

You are one step away from just being able to murder them instead. Get yourself a Cobra with hull reinforcements and a pair of long range super pen rail guns and go to town.

How many gaming communities have you been a part of? Go on, be honest. This is your first, isn't it?
Is just pure hyperbole, unless the poster is new to gaming.

Really...without even thinking of ALL the games I've played over the years (going back as far as the original Elite in 1984) EVEN JUST CURRENT Games...Crusader Kings 2, Command Modern Air naval Ops, Falcon 4 BMS, DCS are NOTHING like this...OUR behaviour (and I'll include myself in that...for giving into childish outrage and indignation) is plain embarrassing, compared to how people normally behave in game communities...

Are you insane?
I had a guy try and take me like that yesterday. It was a joke. I let him live out of respect for him having the balls to face me, after blowing out his fsd and power plant for fun (lol). but really you gunna take on fragships and combat ships (i was in a fas) with a cobra and some railguns??
Please hit me up ingame for a 1v1, i gotta see this for myself.

Usually one would run out of ammo before delivering enough damage to a target. Unless it's a wing of 4 Cobra's with Railguns, Then your FDl would have a problem

I run a super engeneered FAS with 3 focused plasma and 1 railgun.
I can upload a video of what it does to people if you like.
Its got a brutal cap draw and can get toasty, and ive definitely lost plenty of foghts in it, but barring torps, i really doubt a cobra is going to take it down

I'm not interested in murdering gankers; frankly, I don't even care about ing them off. I just want to infiltrate their playing time so they have less time to gank. And a lot of them will be much more skilled pilots than me anyhow.

I was flying an FDL in Solo. At least, thanks to all of your inputs, I now know I need to git gud with a smaller, really fast ship. Strafing tactics aren't really needed in PvE so that should be fun to for me to learn. I didn't know about gromm bombs or fsd missiles, either. Very edifying.

The issue for you is that a gank is almost always over in 20 seconds to a minute.
Almost all our gank time is spent in SC waiting for a victim.
Someone tryna pull me and mess with me runs the major risk of providing me with emergent content and entertainment. Heck, i need to get better with my aim. You might think you trollin but you might just be giving someone free railgun training

You might think that being fast/careless/evading them/interdicting them...but really you're just feeding their pathetic fantasies...
The way to show true contempt for these social inadequates is to ignore them...avoid them...

We've seen quite enough evidence in recent days of how parts of the Elite Dangerous:Community is the most Toxic and Maladjusted Gaming Community i've ever been part of (obviously only applies to a minority of players) WITHOUT giving them more credence and credibility by acknowledging their existence and validating their behaviour...

but... but... what if it's fun?
