General / Off-Topic is anyone going to look at the blood moon tonight ?

Blue moon - the second full moon in a calendar month. Its just a full moon.
Supermoon - 15% brighter - you won't see the difference.
Blood moon - Appears red due to refracted sunlight. Apparently the guys who saw the eclipse also got a hint of red with it.

this, pretty much. At work people were talking about it and I was like......aye...guys....nevermind

I saw it tonight in the UK about 17:30 and because it was low in the sky, it looked really big with a sandy colouring. Quite impressive, but didn't last very long. The higher it got, the smaller its appearance became.

I saw it late (around 11:30pm) as it became clear (and cold!). Looked just like a 'normal' full moon to me, about the regular size and maybe with a slight more hint of blue, but as it was super clear and crisp it might have been normal in that.

A 'Blue Moon' is not actually blue, it is the second full Moon in a month. As the Moon takes 29.5 days to complete a full orbit of the Earth there is normally around 2 years between Blue Moons.

I wish I was English like my hero Tj.
Yeah, I went out early morning to watch it. Then I managed to catch the tail end of the eclipse on my drive in to work.

Cool stuff! :)

Looking at it right now. Beautiful morning, clear and cold with a deep, deep blue tint to the sky and the moon hanging a few degrees above a snowy mountain top like a giant silver spotlight. Glorious.
