ATTN: Frontier Store has 20% discount on most shipkits (and a new Orca "Prestige" paintjob)

Ooh nice.

Myself, I need to get some bobble heads. I know they're not discounted, but I need a Cobra in my Cobra.

Today's offering: someone painted only parts of the orca, leaving tacky white spots among what could have been nice colours with gold trim, and every ship kit is discounted other than the new 'vette and cutter ones that people actually want.

I used to like their store.

*grumbles*

I don't want the cutter or corvette kits. Not interested in those ships at all.

Fair comment but they're the newer ones...people are more likely to have the older ones they like already; deliberately choosing not to discount the ones players want but are less likely to have acquired already seems like a fairly phallic move.

Yeah, well as they are new, people are more likely to buy them at the full price. They will get their cut in price in about 6 months time or so.

I'm still sad that ship-kits aren't an in game item that impact ship performance - be nice to see differently modded ship and learn what that meant in terms of adjusted performance (pluses and minuses). Would have been nice to see something a bit like this with engineers to be honest, get a visual cue on ship mods and provide a bit more variation in the ships you are seeing.
Oh well, missed opportunity. I don't see FD being able to back away from purely cosmetic non-functional mods now :(

Nice timing. I was about to buy some tactical paintjobs for the FDL and Type-7, and was thinking about the FDL shipkit as well. Good thing I didn't pull the trigger on that yet.

Thanks for the heads up, Commander, I appreciate it.

Although I am not going to buy new paint anymore, until they made the paint wear optional. My Cutter looks like crap atm, and I am not going to pay real money for a worn looking ship. Makes no sense to me.;)

Fly/land safe.

Well, if the demand for corvette/cutter hasn't decreased, what incentive is there to discount skins for them if sales are steady?
On the other hand, where purchases dropped on paint jobs for old ships, discounts can only help.

Where the frig are the Diamondback Scout skins? Come on! The poor DBS has just the boring "default" skins and nothing even remotely unique in sight. It's time, FD.

Yawn. Still nothing for our Viper Mk4, Keelback, or "exclusive" Cobra mk4.
I think the V4 has a new paint set but nothing special. We're never getting a ship kit. That's okay it's still the prettiest ship in the galaxy!

Can't you choose another paint and then repaint it again?
