Brett hinted there could be a forum update that shows if you own the game. Could be that I imagined though.

There are people here who don't own elite? Why are they here then? People are odd.
They like to complain a lot.
Because we are a swell bunch of people to hand around with, Im guessing.
Last thing this forum needs is more elitist fuel.

In fact beta players should get a medal to display along with the free cloaking device we have in game.

I want a medal signed by Frontier on each of my posts on the forums (I joke)
I'm not sure if there are many non ED owners on the forums skewing the discussions though.
If that is the case then I would definitely like to know.
FDev should then give the non-ED owners perhaps a limited subforum where they can talk among themselves about a game they don't own.
I could put that sub forum on ignore then. Would be very convenient.

Not imagined, was definitely said.. Planet Coaster forum had this from day one, iirc it even shows what version of the game you own.
Not correct. To have an account on the PC forum you need to have a Frontier account, but you don't need to own the game. And it doesn't display which version of the game.
Yes anyone can have an account on the PC forum, that's not what I was saying.. Posts on the PC forum are water marked for players who have the game and the water mark is slightly different depending on which version (i.e Early Bird), at least they were at it's onset..
