Question for forum veterans

The ability to jump to outer parts of a system, to avoid long supercruise travel times.
Autopilot, to take the tedium out of long trips.

Personally, I don't see a need to make those changes and enough people are in agreement, so FD probably won't implement either of these frequently suggested changes.

Historically would probably be single player offline then early in development FD figured out that wasn't going to work given the direction they were going.
 
Pretty much automated everything since "game is so boring and I have no time to play". Boils down to, "press button, get enough credits to buy 20 fully A rated anacondas".

Another thing on the list is "deep enriching interactive gameplay" which I end up mentally translating into "themeparks" because "Elite has mechanics but no rhyme or reason to use them." Essentially people want questlines and overarching narratives that railroad them to specific places and give them a purpose rather then making a purpose for themselves.

Updates to... just about everything. Crime and Punishment, mission payouts, Wings, trade networking, interdiction mechanics, traversing space, NPC's. You name it, I've seen requests for it.

Ownership/Construction of player stations for groups and PMF's.

Me personally? A Farragut. I'd like a playable one but if the Megacarriers in Q4 have a Farragut skin, I'll be a happy camper.

People talk an awful lot about "deep gameplay" and "innovative game mechanics," some very loudly. Yet none of the talk translates to sales for games that do provide such innovation, even games that have been praised for how well they did it. Which is one of the reasons I think such arguments tend to get raised eyebrows from dev studios and little further consideration.
