Yeah, I'm in agreement. It's not difficult to either get in the spirit of the player organised event or ignore it and don't post. The types who feel they need to post insults and negativity are just pathetic examples of the true toxic element in this community. I'm not a fan of Zarek Null myself but I can respect the fact that he's gone to so much trouble to organise an event and get people to play together - that's a hell of a lot more than most of these forum warriors have done for the game.
Make a better one then.
This 'Princess Kidnapping' is all fake news; put about by an attention seeking brat.
They picked some poor blue haired, not even close look a like and made some outrageous claims. If the claims were a fact; don't you think that the Imperial forces would be out in their thousands, hunting Zarek Nobody down?

It's perfectly normal to role play with characters from the fictional world you're playing in. The "point" of RP is to have fun with the fictional conceits of the game world by immersing yourself in it and acting out the scenarios you've come up with. The creation of original characters is entirely incidental to this and not even strictly necessary.
If anything, Aisling is a fake Imperial opposed to the notion of Imperial Slavery. She may have her, after all!

If you want to involve other players in your personal fiction, then you need to express that through the game mechanics, especially if it involves Frontier created NPCs. That's the difference between role playing and fanfiction.
I could declare myself the Queen of Emerald, but unless I establish a player-faction named the Kingdom of Emerald, spread it to Cemiess, and use it to take over MacKenzie Relay, it is just my personal fanfiction. Until I do the actual work, no other player has to respect me as Queen of Emerald. I can claim that Empress Duval has recognized my claim, but unless Frontier puts it in Galnet that she has done so, no other player has to recognize it as legitimate.

Its a few people having a bit of fun in the game and advertising it so other people can join in the fun if they want. None of it has any negative effect on you.

Ask for your "official" event thru official channels, sit down and wait like every player minor factions does. This is simply LAME and disrespectful for all the real communities in the game.
Even RP and game events have their rules, do you want your own "unofficial" event? Don't kidnap a major pp character and create at least a bit of lore to support it, do not use it as excuse to do a bit of pvp.

Actually she appears to be opposed to slavery, if I am not mistaken.
I will always have an interest in those with an unquenchable need for self-publicity, because it is these egotists that cause the pain and suffering of others, foolish enough to admire them and do their bidding. Within the game context it is a call for PvP and promotion of the said individual; but this individual is not just a collection of pixels, confined to the game alone. This is a breathing, thinking and plotting human being, who's needs and desires are all apparent, for everyone to see. History shows that such individuals can cause untold damage by being given a free reign and most of those did not have the power of the internet.
So my 'interest' is two fold.
First as stated above: The protection of society from the occasional megalomaniac, that gets my attention.
Second: As I have stated somewhere in one of these 'Look at me I have kidnapped the Smurf Princess' threads. I know that she is safe and well looked after; because I am one of her many devoted followers and guardians; who sleeps at the base of her bed, as is my right as an Imperial King and devoted lap dog.

I'm not a fan of ZN in any way and found his first vid a tad annoying (no offence ZN), but as far as I can see, he has created his own backstory and personal lore - as a delusional nutbar. He has not actually kidnapped an NPC, but has every right to pretend do so. He has not tried to attribute any words or actions to an official NPC - which would be crossing a line. He also made it very clear in the OP that this was in no way an official/supported/recognized event.
So how about next time something like this crops up, show us all your mad RP skillz, and debunct him as a lunatic, but do it IC; encourage others to ignore his actions, but do it IC. Maybe save us from the preaching about RP rules and 'real communities'.

If so, then the whole thing should be there, instead of within the forums. Coming to the forums with such RP claims, IS an invite to a forum response, be it critical or otherwise.

Then let the boy have her...we cant be expected to start cleaning our own sewers after all. Those sorta dirty menial jobs are best suited to a donkey workforce and maybe a sprinkling of fed POWs...if some dreary laws dictate they just have to be fed, then they should at least do some hard graft to say thank you fer allowing them to live. At least they arent as dumb as animals but the animals are nicer to look at and can double up as zoo animals on weekends. Those slaves need to be reminded there are worse fates than slavery ^
No. In Character. As absurd as this 'event' may be (to some). Everything - support for ZN, insults to ZN/PA, calling it out as /attention seeking/whatever, or playing along ingame only to discover it was a poor lookalike and your efforts were wasted on some nutbags fantasy... all of it could have (should have?) stayed IC.
Edit: Perhaps he should have posted it in the RP forum? Perhaps then this would have produced an interesting dialogue (IC). Although... how big is the crossover with the core RP and core PvP communities?
