Calling all Imperials... Let’s save Aisling tomorrow!!

It’s sad how cancerous this community is. Zarek Null spends tons of time and money to create a player event for the community to have something to do, and people who have done nothing for the community feel they have to insult his efforts or whine about proper RP. Embarrassing display by most of the people here.

I'm just going to say this. I personally dislike Nightshady with a passion, but when I agree with him, you know something is really off.

This community has been a complete embarrassment in regards to this event. This is the same community that got hyped up for the Salami event to the point where it got covered in official news. But someone tries to do a silly B-level villain event and you (as a community) flame and attack him cuz it's roleplay raah rah. Think you guys can do better? Then do better.

Otherwise, quiet down. Everyone that participated had fun.

Oooooh, the RP police from the real communities are out in force today!
Please, do share the official RP rules for everyone.

consistency and plausibility. Obviously you don't know anything about RP.

No. In Character. As absurd as this 'event' may be (to some). Everything - support for ZN, insults to ZN/PA, calling it out as /attention seeking/whatever, or playing along ingame only to discover it was a poor lookalike and your efforts were wasted on some nutbags fantasy... all of it could have (should have?) stayed IC.

Edit: Perhaps he should have posted it in the RP forum? Perhaps then this would have produced an interesting dialogue (IC). Although... how big is the crossover with the core RP and core PvP communities?

Edit #2: I thought this was the original ZN thread! Well done the 13th for playing along. (still could have been in the RP forum)

perhaps he shouldn't use a main character used by fdev in official lore. That's all. The crossover with RP and PvP can be as big as you want as long as you use YOUR characters in a plausible story/environment.

So, if you don't know about RP, don't even start an event based on RP as silly excuse for pew pew. And don't mock others for taking care of it.

13th Legion, with assistance from independent Imperial pilots, was able to liberate Aisling’s cryo-pod from Zarek’s ship. Thanks to all who came to enjoy this great player event put on by Zarek Null!!

On behalf of the 351st AVW, I congratulate the 13th Legion, and all who assisted, on their victory. Mostly because I rather would not have seen some stuffed shirt running the Pilots Federation. And also because Imperials are not nearly as grimy as the Federation. That's about the highest compliment you can receive from an Alliance pilot. :p

In return, let me pass on a bit of intel: Ceres Tarn in HR 1185 is in danger of being taken over by the Cooper Research Associates. Why would I tell you that at the cost of undermining an Alliance faction? Because I totally dig the Imperial traffic controller's voice there and would rather not see her lose her job. :D

Escaped Mental Patient Mistakes Gynoid for Imperial Princess, Demands Control of Pilots Federation

11 February, 3304

Escaped mental patient Zarek Null, self proclaimed Overlord of Eravate, once again escaped from Port Smith Memorial. Two days later, he stunned Imperial space by claiming to have kidnapped Princess Aisling Duval, and demanded immediate control of the Pilots Federation in return for her safe return. This puzzled many in the Empire, including Princess Duval herself, who was spending a few days relaxing on her estate on Emerald.

Then came the release of Mr. Null's video.

"It was obviously a Gynoid," Imperial Analyst Adam Hinata said. "Between the plastic looking skin, the dead eyes, the comically large cleavage, and overly sensual mannerisms, nobody who was sane would possibly mistake a Gynoid for the real thing. We have, naturally, reviewed our security around the People's Princess, and feel confident that any potential threat from Mr. Null has been anticipated."

Aisling Duval, at a press conference last night, had this to say about the whole incident, "I'm not sure if I should be offended that I could possibly be mistaken for that Gynoid, or amused by the whole incident. All I can do is hope that Mr. Null is found quickly, and is given the treatment he desperately needs, before he mistakes some poor innocent woman for me."

+1 rep to Darkfyre99 for providing the actual explanation. Can we please petition FD to get this added to Galnet, or at least the local Cemiess newsfeed?

Pretty much this. I'd rather pew pew in a game than RP as I'm not big into RP myself, but for those who are, you probably shouldn't be using a canon/established figurehead without the approval of their creator in a story or RP session, especially something like this too. As I figured it was mostly just another Zarek attention mongering thread/self promotion.

See now while his event was unsanctioned, seeing him publicly denounced on Galnet would be amusing on FDevs part as he could be officially listed as just some crazy / mental-case pilot, that would be worth a chuckle for sure.

The only times an official ED character has been involved with any community related stuff, is after FDev have decided to work with a player group to set something up. It's always had to go directly through them for their participation and sanctioning. I like Darkfyre99's take and that's likely to be what actually hits Gal-Net. :)

Besides, we already have a galactic overlord.

As a member of Imperial Naval Intelligence I can confirm that Princess Duval is safe and sound. As are all of her body doubles. Zarek Null probably just kidnapped some poor woman who also happened to have blue hair, which is a popular color in Imperial Space. INI forces considered sending out Hunter-Killer teams to intercept, but decided the situation was both too hilarious and not threatening enough to follow through. Wanted ads for Zarek Null featuring a reward of half a sandwich are being broadcast through the Empire as a joke, yet we believe someone will collect it soon anyway. As someone as catastrophically stupid as this Zarek cannot stay hidden for long.

Well...which is it? A Gynoid or a body double? I swear the Imperials could teach the Feds a lesson or two on tap-dancing around reality.

As a loyal follower of the princess from the beginning of power play - glad to hear that !
Well done !

My Whitey Knightey sense is tingling.

Not because some blue haired bint who may or may not be an Imperial princess and may or may not wear a double D bra, got herself kidnapped, but I see an opportunity to eliminate, humiliate, nay discombobulate, a famous seal clubber. If I'm around in time (will be tight) I'll do my best to turn up and escort mr Null back to the asylum that failed to keep him out of our spaceways.

As you may or may not know, Overlord Zarek Null has kidnapped Aisling Duval. [...]
.
Hmm. There's only one way that could've happened: she flew around in a e-rated Sidey. And while most people who use such ships have no other option, in her case she's got nobody but herself to blame if she did so.

Wait, we're toxic because we're making fun of a poser with delusions of grandeur (being an overlord) and we're not rallying to the call of other people with a need for attention and a hero syndrome? Please. [haha]

If the posts had been contained to the RP forum, or the PVP forum, I would have paid it no heed and ignored it. As it is, I'm going to poke fun at it and laugh.

Besides, as I said in other posts, if the people involved had fun - great! But to say any criticism of this whole thing is toxic? Really?

Besides, you want a major player driven event? Make an effort (or join the ones already in progress) to repair the stations damaged by the Thargoids!

Seriously... I thought Zarek Null's video was as funny as the "Kylo-Ren" reviews of the Rogue One trailers and then the movie itself.

Oh, and it's Salomé, not Salami. Comparing this event to that one is apples and oranges. That one was directly tied to the lore and the results official. This? *sigh* And I didn't care about that event either AND I also hoped everyone involved did enjoy it.

Some people are so fragile...

Yep, that's good motivation. Good luck with your hunt!

Yes that would pretty much be it.. name calling is toxic and adds nothing to intelligent debate..

Long live the Emperor!
Long live the Imperials!

Except for that deranged teenager who thinks it's a good idea to abolish Imperial Slavery and as a result, force millions of Imperial Citizens into abject poverty because they can't pay off their debt. She can sod off and get kidnapped by some crazy guy.

This is what happens when you take away corporal punishment.. kids get these unhealthy, anti-Imperial ideas; thinking that the sun shines out of their bums. Bah.

Long live the Emperor!
Long live the Imperials!
