I'm not aware of definitive values but I think it pretty much scales by weapon damage on the one hand and SCB health on the other hand.
Put another way if we theorise that a c2 rail removes 45% of the charge of a class 8 SCB in one hit, then a c1 rail probably does ...
23.3 / 41.5 * 0.45 = 25% removal.
But of course that would then be correspondingly much more of a smaller SCB. And small rails have a faster firing cycle. I know that Morbad uses 2 x c1 on his Corvette.
Doesn't add much to the above but worth checking out Nerwan and Crimson Kaim's original testing on this (Mr Nerwan is one my much-missed former wingmates, may they one day return to ED):

And small rails have a faster firing cycle.
Dodging those rails was just about doable untill that SLF showed up, small ships can't dodge fire well enough from both ships to last long.![]()
Ha ha ... sorry ... as I recall saying after the fight I was actually thinking of recalling my little buddy, then realised that honour had surfaced rather too late as you were on 2% hull.
I'll be honest - a part of the reason for my hesitation was that with the Chieftain also in the instance (I didn't know Martian's Cmdr name) I presumed it was only a matter of time before I myself got double-teamed.
You will doubtless be astonished to learn that this had only happened to me about 98,000 times already...
Haha, so much caution and suspicion in this game of ours. I didn't deploy my weapons or anything, just a peaceable lil' Chieftain who came to watch at firstHaha, first I thought it was the chieftan shooting me not the SLF. Having multiple unknowns in one instance really triggers that paranoia. As for the letting me leave, no worries mate, it was in beta, no harm no foul. Was the quickest way back into the station anyway.
As for getting double teamed: With that ship name, you are kinda asking for it. (Which is why I engaged in the first place)
