Hardware & Technical Looking at this 1070ti GPU

Hmmnn... It's cheaper than the air-cooled one show below in similar items section... The 1070ti is about 5-7% slower than the 1080 non ti so it all comes down to price and features. I would think the 1080 would be better than the 1070ti with VR because of the faster ram but I've never seen any evidence to prove that. I would love to get one myself but auctioning off a kidney or two isn't an option as the 1070 and the 1070ti are running somewhere around a $1000 us...

EVGA is a good brand and the 1070 Ti a race beast

Seems to be a good deal

Earn about 50 euros on the current prices at EVGA

I just managed to snag a 1080 ti for $750.00 a day or two before the market melted down due to bitcoin mining. The day after I ordered, they disappeared from the market almost completely, and when they re-appeared the price had gone through the roof.

I bought the EVGA 1070Ti SC edition that came out a couple months back for $469usd. I run stock speeds and since MS fixed their screw up with borderless windowed gaming, it handles full ultra settings at 3440x1440 at solid 60fps.

I'm a happy Commander!

I'm sure this new one will be slightly better all around, but grab it AS FAST AS POSSIBLE before they all end up on ebay for $1000+

A very good deal here, although I have always found, the excessive prices for a graphics card

I was looking at a MSI GTX1080 Armor 8G that normally retailed for $509, was on sale $489 a couple of weeks before the meltdown and couldn't pull the trigger with Christmas coming up... [cry]

I found an MSI GTX 1080 Gaming 8G on Newegg today for $649... Best value I've seen in a while. I'm very tempted to buy and list it on EBay...

Is this a potential drop shipping product?

This is what happens when there is a lack of competition in the market.

So is the price increase artificial is production being held back?

No, the price went up due
Ethereum mining. The coins went sky high and everybody and their brother either bought them to mine with or to sell them to miners.

Yep. And the price is pretty good compared to a lot of other places. But the prices are slowly coming back down so I think I may wait a little bit longer and maybe get a 1080 or if I am really lucky a 1080ti.

I don't think the new Nvidea cards will be around for a while.

At this point I'm holding out for the next gen cards and having money available to jump on them at the earliest opportunity. I'm getting some kind of bonus check in the next couple of weeks so it will likely go towards that.

My issue is that I am getting the Pimax 8k and I don't think my AMD Fury will cut the mustard, it's acceptable for the Rift, but anything like the pimax 8k I think is a no no. Probably need something a bit more powerful, 1070ti at a minimum.

I'd be wary of Amazon pre-orderes, there's always the chance it'll never become available.

There was up until recently a 1080ti ftw 3 elite (white) edition available for pre-order, it had been available for pre-order for 6 months and never actually became available. Anyone that paid for it would have gotten a refund, but they would have sat on your money for that entire 6 months. Meanwhile, the actual product had been available for purchase from other retailers for that entire time, it wasn't like a video game where they were waiting for a set release day., It all seems a bit of a scam to me.

I thought amazon only charged your card upon dispatch? Or is it different for pre-orders?

This is not a good time in the hardware cycle to buy much of anything. Video cards are significantly overpriced. Patience can be rewarding if you wait until the cycle ends as they a all do when manufacturing has caught up with demand and the market disappears causing a glut of inventory.

No predicting how long it will take, but Nvidia rumors of next gen cards coming soon make it seem reasonable to hold off if you can.

Of course if you really need a new card now, then this looks like a reasonable deal in the current market.

I have read that it us doubtful there will be any new gaming GPUs from Nvidia this year due to the lack of real competition.
