However, on the other side of the fence, exclusive means exclusive, NOT let's give it to everyone.

Maybe I can trade two slightly used for a newer model?
I'm assuming there are some non-transfer stipulations involved, unfortunately.
You could always offer free rides in multicrew though.
It'd be kind of like those race day test ride cars they have at some tracks, only people would be riding around in Ford Pinto Wagons instead.

Let me demonstrate why I really don't care about the Cobra Mk IV.
The Mark IV is, with fully realized Grade 5 Dirty Drives on A rank thrusters, STILL SLOWER than the Mark III using completely vanilla C-rank thrusters. It barely beats the D-rank thrusters on the Mark III.
It has an extra gun. It also uses the same power coupling.
It's even an inferior explorer compared to its predecessor.
Its only point of pride over its predecessor is its potential to carry more stuff. On that it's not half bad as a mid-to-lower rank trader. But if carrying stuff is what you're after, just save a few credits and buy a type 6.

Yeah, I like the Mk. III for exploration.
There might be a way around the "exclusivity" of the Cobra 4. Those of us who have it, but don't care for it could allow our exclusive rights to be returned to FD in exchange for some trinket. Maybe an in-game bumper sticker for our ships that says "My other ship isn't a Cobra IV".
Then FD could raffle those rights to the general playerbase.
If we were able to transfer those rights directly, the spectre of RL money exchange could/would rear its ugly head. If FD themselves handled it, that wouldn't happen.

Maybe make it rank locked? Only players who are King Admirals can buy them, and only from Hutton Orbital?

I have access to the Cobra IV. I've never even flown it.
How about this? I'll donate mine, to be put into a pool (hopefully others will donate too) for a charity raffle or auction.
Surely that won't upset anyone, right? It would still be an exclusive ship, just with a new owner. Then anyone who wants one can have a chance to get one and the proceeds would go to a good cause.

This is out of our hands and largely Frontier's too for that matter. Two and a half years too late and a dollar short to change the outcome. Frontier already made the bed we're sleeping in. Nothing against you or anyone here in particular, but some people seem incapable of coming to terms with the situation for some reason or another.

I dont have access to this ship, but if i did I wouldn't buy it. It's a horrible ship.
Got my vote to open it up. For an "exclusive" ship, it's garbage. Give it to the masses.
