Is it possible to repair the power plant at all? There's no way to turn it off so it can be repaired last time I looked. Could be wrong, though.

I always thought that this, along with hull repairs) would be a task ideally suited to space legs and perhaps EVA. Eg Walk down to the Engine room, assess the damage, apply repair kit, exit ship via airlock, find external damage and make partial repairs. I'd love that.

PP dont take damage from heat, so the only way to get it that damaged is to NS Boost all over the place, or drive like Richard Hammond.

Sounds like Snowflake damage to me.

Ship's hull after this = %77 (power plant = %88) cargo hatch and sensors took most damage lol
then i started my repairs it was at that point my ship just exploded with no warning.

this really me off i lost 120M in missions and a 20M bonus, all exploration data (no too much as only scanned stars and Adv' discovery scanner), 8M for my ship to buy again and 10 days of game play. im not a noob ive done this before but i have not got a single clue as to why
my ship destroyed itself.

i wanted to put it here to get some insight as im planning on complaining if that's even possible. if i messed up id get it that's the game but ships don't just explode with %23 damage. i worried about flying out now that i only have 13M left over if it happens 2 more times on short missions ill lose my ship!

This might come down to an integrity issue...there are two damages that happen to a ship...one is loss of integrity. Can only be repaired at a station.

Heheh, I think emergency drops will likely damage the powerplant. Anyway, the Anaconda is known to explode, incredibly rare considering the amount of people flying them, but they are exploding for no reason.

Definitely not integrity. The way integrity works has been clear for a few years now. If anyone doesn't believe me about the bug, google it, or check the vid I posted. I thought the exploding bug was well known. It's been there since the ship first launched.

i repair with the modules Tab to the right, i used the AFMUs i have 2.
i repaired the first AFMU first and then the second.
after that i start from the top 1 by 1. im very careful

im not an expert but im no noob lol

also i wasn't in super cruise, i slowed down to slowest then jumped down to the lowest form of speed (FSD = fast, supercuirse = middle. lowest = donno tbh lol thrusters? i was in that the lowest)


also the life support i hadn't gotten to yet i think i just finished repairing the AFMUs and start the first at top from there maybe 1 or 2 down from there.

still really confused but ive asked for support hopefully thatll help

could also be your power priority, does the AFMU cut power from everything? i.e. life support?

Then file a support ticket. They'll get you fixed.

I think I damaged my power plant previous to that accident mentioned
And no you can't use AFMUS on power plants.

I have 2 kids 9 month old and a 2 yr old lol both of which have distracted me or pressed buttons which never help long distance travel lol but I fix all damage before easily except for power plant ofc

Tickets have been filed since back in 2014, it is so rare I don't think they know how to fix it. OP will get his money back for sure, fortunately he hadn't spent months/years out in the black.
