Neutron star exclusion zone?

Hi Commanders

A few times now I've encountered neutron stars that are contained entirely within their own exclusion zone. So the route plotter takes you to them expecting you to supercharge your FSD for a long-range jump, but you can't access the neutron stream.

Is this intended, or a glitch?

I get the same when flying my cutter not with my DBX though..... What ship are you in?

That sounds like a bug. I probably did over 400 neutron jumps on my round-trip to the core and never had that happen.

Have you tried flying out beyond the exclusion zone near the jets? Sometimes they extend out further but are so thin at that distance that you can’t really see them.

We had one of these (a White Dwarf) in the last Buckyball Race. In fact, what I found was the very outer fringes of the cone were always just about visible on one side. As I wrote on the race thread:

Its cone basically only extends the tiniest bit beyond its exclusion zone (and the yellow exclusion zone circle tends to disappear about 2 second after drop in). Even if you could get your ship into that tiny area without hitting the exclusion zone, it was then a real challenge to get the supercharge before flying right through it and out the other side. I'm not complaining tho - it was terrific fun.

Yes, did a loop looking for a protruding part. No joy!
