General / Off-Topic Why I make annoying threads.

First off, I love you all. You guys are great... and errr...

A bit gullible! Nah yeah... I could be nicer, but that doesn't really work. What I really want to see - as a person who really does love this game a lot. - Honest feedback. And that is why I don't answer a thread I start. I let you guys do the answering for me. Sorry for winding you.

But before I sign off because I don't want to play peeps anymore, I want FD and you lot to consider something.

It is amazing how people feel about this game. You love this game, otherwise you would not be here. All the poor devs who read my crap know that in the back of their minds. "Oh god" they say... "It's Gypsy" Nggggggg....
But I do believe they know at the end of the day, I truly love this game and what they have done. What they have achieved.

Why have I been so Grrrr! with my posts lately?

It's because I still believe something.

Frontier Developments still do NOT understand the inordinate amount of money they can make from this game. And it drives me mad. (Not really - I have bigger problems!)

I cant understand why they cannot see this point. FD created the first online galaxy with a reasonable scientific pretext. This in itself is a massive achievement. Sure. A lot of things are off. But as DB said, he was well proud that it predicted the existence of that local star with all the inhabited planets. (I forget the name)
And, we all know it was probably just dumb luck, and Braben was selling... Maybe It wasn't quite that...

Take advantage of it, and keep us playing!

Surely it cannot be impossible to create tools and update actual scientific knowledge into the galaxy map? Hire a dedicated team to vet that information as it appears? If you think about it - you put Sol in. Mars, Earth etc. So, yes - it can be done. And then..... Drumroll!

Your game can become a fountain of scientific knowledge, and allow astronomers to see what they have missed. To see what they have. To look back at a star system, and say. Hey man, that don't make sense. I saw something else in my scope last night. Do you guys ever play your own game? Do you realize I know every nebula by heart on the way to the formidine? And god knows you wound us up enough about it.

I thought someone might actually be intelligent enough to works with tales of legends and starmaps. Man was I into that. Will these stars line up? What will this do when I line them up? Being and actual Sailor, its what I look for. Instead I was horrified and disgusted that you had just dumped an Anaconda with no placement origin onto the edge of the galaxy. And then panicked and upgraded it to something fancier to avoid people actually finding you and killing you. What kind of treatment is that to your player base? You should be ashamed. Really, that was the pits.

Sure it means more work getting the science right. I just hope this game becomes something more. Right now, it looks like a disaster waiting to happen. Star citizen will nail you you know? So MAYBE??? Get your foot in elsewhere?

Cheers, Gyp.

You need a

to go with your post ;)

OP why not spend you time learning a programming language and creating something. Instead of making this post up?

its not about the money.

Compromise is the mother of completion

Working on JPW sorry

Scale of different displays would mess up any sextant work i think

The science is the best I've seen in a game, you try heavy landings yet?
Nope. Lost me. Its a great game already. The only disaster waiting to happen is the implosion of those who have paid for the biggest vaporware bluff of the 29th century. CR couldn't manage his way out of a a paper bag open at both ends.

Free winds and warm breezes to you! o7
