Removed against their will - Military style behavior from the Alliance!

Residents of the Independent bases on Lave 2 (Navigator Terminal and Watts Survey) have been forcibly removed from their homes!

The Alliance decided that the residents' self-imposed permit was unlawful and could lead to disruptions for the Alliance funded Chern Terminal also located on Lave 2.

In what can only be called a Forced Move, Alliance forces surround the two bases in the early hours of this morning before forcing through the bases defences and detaining the inhabitants. Any personal belongings were impounded before being taken away and presumily stored until such time that the detainees are released.

There were further surprises as the new Alliance ship, the Chieftain, was used to haul the detainees to an undisclosed off-planet location.

Once the evacuation had been completed, explosives located around the bases were detonated and all evidence of them obliterated from the surface of the planet. The devastation was so complete that to look at them now you would never have known there were bases there!

Alliance Official News said:
The inhabitants of Lave 2 have moved on after being isolated by their planet's permit and their settlements have been dismantled, so missions should no longer target this planet. This is for the benefit of inhabitants of Lave 2 and all Alliance Members.

Oh no! More clearances. The residents weren't Scottish were they?

Point of order. Whiskey is in fact Irish.

Objection, whiskey may have originated there, but it is by no means an Irish drink in the 21st century, at least not according to these guys.

That being said, Jameson is still my go-to flask filler, which actually sold out years ago to Pernod Ricard, a French company. When it comes to booze, nothing is bound to its point of origin.

Seriously?
1: Alliance does military stuff all the time, the alliance has ideals and upholds them with force.
2: This is a gameplay fix that you are touting about, last I checked this is NOT in game lore, but rather a humorous way of saying "Yeah our bad permit locked planets obviously shouldn't be part of mission system."

To be fair, ye could probably put a still together fer less than an old 360 and make yer own in the spare room ^

I've done a bit of my own distilling. For a little more than a new PS4:

5 gallons at a time of whatever I feel like distilling.. but for the time, effort and materials... it's less of a hassle to drive to the local liquor store. LOL

The place was isolated. Nobody ever came to visit. There were first signs of inbreeding. There was no force involved. The locals got their wish, and have nice apartments on Lave Station now, sipping their first Lavian brandy in years.

Your attempt at smearing the Alliance has failed. Forceful displacement and genocide are the other superpowers.

Youre missing the point. Its a matter if spelling difference and the fact that the scottish stuff is terrible.

No.. I would say he has the right of it.. in fact, if you look back far enough, you will notice that the Scots (Scotti) were a tribe from my own sweet Province, that invaded, and presumably brought with them, distilling. I'm making up the distilling bit tbh, but our single pot whiskey is better than the Scotch blended stuff.
Our Poitín is even better..

the scottish stuff is terrible.

In the States we call that Scotch, also known locally as rotgut. I'm not about to get in any argument suggesting that distilling mossy clumps of dirt is anywhere close to distilling grain.
