Wing Trading Missions - Are they enough?

Firstly let me say how PUMPED I am for 3.0 Beyond! So, one of the favorite aspects of 3.0, perhaps the added feature I was most awaiting, were wing missions. So today I log in, upgrade my Type-9 a bit with the additional 256-cargo rack [thanks fdev!], and head off to imperial space to do some wing trading missions. So far, almost all the missions are around 1,200-1,800 units, and the largest trading mission I found was around 3,000 units....

Now wait a minute... If I were to get a wing of traders together, each with either a Type-9 or Cuttter with roughly 750 cargo capacity [remember we are traders so we likely have big cargo vessels], then one wing of 4 could do 3,000 in a single trip! Shouldn't the minimum trading wing mission be around 3,000, or at least, can we please have some options with around 10,000 units??? There is no reason to make the missions so small in scope - I was really looking forward to these being mini-cg... ya know, trade 10,000 units for 30million, etc...

They've added long range trading missions as well. You want that sweet sweet 4 million credit payout? Be prepared to travel 130Ly.
 
It seems to depend on what the RNG turns out. So far all the ones I've seen are 2400-4000 tons. I expect things will be a bit screwy for a week while the new BGS settles down and they tweak the numbers.
Need to keep in mind the system also has to cater for players that arent in the really big ships. pythons, T-7's etc so there needs to be a mix of lower tonnage missions too

I want to do one of those 4000T hauling missions in my Adder just for the experience of it. There should be a badge for that, lol!

Where do we get those long range missions? Do I need to go back to the outer edges of bubble - or are they also available in the bubble? I need to go out to Maia again to get Palin to fix my thrusters... so I could check there... but I figured I could just bother all y'all!

I think the wing missions seem OK. Saw some in-system ones for like 4000-5000T that were giving 4.5M credit rewards.

A wing of T-9s or Cutters could knock those out fairly quickly, but T-9s and Cutters require a lot of upkeep.

In beta I did some wing missions solo. I really had to be in the mood for it, because anything more than three trips started to get tedious.

Where do we get those long range missions? Do I need to go back to the outer edges of bubble - or are they also available in the bubble? I need to go out to Maia again to get Palin to fix my thrusters... so I could check there... but I figured I could just bother all y'all!

I picked some up from my local faction. Not central, but not fringe, either.

205Ly for 3M. Was nice to get out of the local system group for a while :)

There was another one to Patreus HQs for about 800k... 90 Ly or so. I'm sure with higher rep the reward would have been better.

I like you, but this is a bit of a weird statement. I can earn around 4 million, with a single cargo load of Imperial Slaves in Cutter. So no, that's not OP.

That's what I meant - that they "are enough". I don't think the missions I cited are OP at all, i.e. from what I've seen they seem OK so far.

Anyways, OP is really talking about quantity. He wants wing missions for quantities of 10k tons. Which to me sounds soul-crushing, but to each his own :)

Damn, the mission board is absolutely cluttered with wing missions. They definitely need to tone that down a bit. I'd say 6-7 out of ten missions are for wings right now, which is rather absurd.

In some places it is high.

Other places I'm finding boards stacked with the same mission over and over. Transport X, Kill X, steal X.

Needs a bit of tweaking I think.

Same thing happens whenever a new mission type is added. It's all you see because Frontier ensure it's pretty much the most common mission type for the BGS to select. They really like wing missions, internet friend, so we get to really like them to, because it's all we are going to see, for weeks (or months, or a bit like passenger missions, years).

Wing mining missions would be cool but as per usual miners are snubbed in the updates.

Kind of unrelated questions: is there a particular system type or state where Biotech Conductors are more likely to spawn? I need me some of those bad boys. Needs me a LOT of them.

Additional side-note: is anybody else twasted? I opened a bottle of Shiraz about an hour ago and no way should I be flying. I think I'm going to buy a Chieftain

lol - that was me a couple of nights ago. Tonight I'm taking it easy.

Oh, disegard... mission reward only, so says Inara.

Though the material data in-game says "Settlements, shipwrecks, and Missions". So you may try High grade in Outbreak systems.
