Wing Mission Clutter in Mission Board

50%+ of my mission board is now cluttered with these useless wing missions. 80%+ haulage missions are now wing missions. Experienced the same across multiple systems.

Did FDev do some imaginary research and come to the faulty conclusion that 50%+ of players are in a wing? It makes no sense otherwise.

Is there an UI option to filter out these wing missions, at least in solo? If not, there should be one.
 
Check the passenger board. Colonia missions have returned too. Passenger missions in general are dead, however. Hope all of this gets bug fixed.....

I dont think so.

Rewards are significantly lower compared to single-haul missions. 800k to transport 180 units of animal meat. 4m~ to transport 3000. Hardly seems profitable. Anyways I will leave that issue to people who play in wings.
 
I still fail to see why they would attempt wing missions when they already can't seem to handle normal missions.

I thought they would get a separate menu or something. But they are mixed in with the rest of them? As if it wasn't a mess already.

Not even close! Haul a couple thousand widgets, for what. 4 or 5 million spacebucks? Could make that in less time having more fun tooling around in a Haz Res. These new missions and their payouts are a flippin' joke man.
 
This was a problem in the Beta, both the volume of the wing missions and the screwy payouts, with some missions to the same systems in the same types of commodities offering 1 million to deliver 3000 tons, or 600,000 credits to deliver 60... Looks like it didn't get another pass before go live. :/

Seems like they could kill two birds with one stone by putting a lower limit on the wing mission generator... if the wing mission doesn't create a payout that is proportionately more than the regular missions for the effort then don't create the mission at all. That would get rid of the clutter and the out of whack payouts. Missions like "Deliver 5000 tons of fruits and vegetables for 1.2 million" shouldn't be a thing.

Honestly I would not mind the excessive number of wing missions if the payouts were proportional with the haulage. At this point, both payouts and number of missions are screwed up. (Edit: pretty much agree with ElectricZ above :p)

Tonight I spent hours trying to find a single non wing mission that offered biotech conductors, and failed. I searched 4 different stations and board flipped. These used to be available through all sorts of missions, but now wing missions have entirely replaced all of the high end reward type missions. Wing missions are of course rather unprofitable.

I wonder if there will come a day where a patch does not screw up the mission board?
 
In the mission system, grade 5 materials are worth 500k. So it is unlikely they will be selected as a reward option for less than a mil payout. Pity for those courier missions that sometimes gave you biotech conductors in 2.4, they are gone now.
 
Still the same after 3.02 update. So this was the intended result, and not some anomaly / oversight. [Sigh]

Would love to know what can possibly be the design thinking here. Why flood a solo player's mission board with wing missions? Why are wing mission rewards so paltry?

It's the same EVERY time FDev release something. Always broken, always half baked - have they ever had a release that wasn't this way?
 
Thanks for not fixing this with today's update, FDev. Why introduce new features when they are broken from the start, and you cant even fix them quickly? I mean this is no complicated bug, how hard can it be to adjust the payments?
 
They really need a better way to filter the mission boards. Just one filter isn't enough. Or better yet, as someone else came up with, generate missions on demand only with a query form (or similar).

lets say I get 180 units to transport, I would get around 1.5 to 2m, to ferry lets say 3000 units of X, the pay out would be 1.5- 2m, with a cargo hold of 400 units.

The Bulk wing missions are a waste of time and effort, maybe for online in a group, but Solo as you say is a waste of mission board space.
I Would do bulk solo missions if they scaled with my trade rank.

So there needs to be two types of bulk missions, one for online and one for solo.

what say you FD (aimed at the mission creator)
