When it gets released

When the game finially gets released, will everyone who has played it in beta have to start a fresh or do they keep all that they have earned?

If they keep their spoils, then I feel they get an unfair advantage over people who haven't got into beta.

Fresh start. Confirmed.

The unfair advantage will being that they know how to dock.

The central systems are going to be collision carnage in the first few days.

Much appreciated, thank you. I'm 48 and I've waited for this for so long.

I played the C64 one for ages when it was popular, so I think i will be ok to dock it ;)

if you were playing on the C64, then I just don't understand how you can't buy the Beta now!!! :D:D:D I couldn't hold it, finally, and... HAPPY!!!!!! Back to pleasures of gaming in the 90ies!

I do know what you mean, I've had allot of stuff to do and if I had done it I would of been stuck on my computer.

May I ask, do anyone know is it just gonna be a digital release or will there be a boxed version that you could buy?

i hope they don't get a boxed version... cause I'd buy one too, immediately...

Aren't there big posters somewhere?!

I wanted to do the beta, but I didnt want to spoil that moment when you fly out and see everything for the 1st time. I really bit my finger when i thought of doing it. I am 48 and I still have the C64 version in its black box with manual an books with cassette!!

I know exactly what you mean, sitting out there watching the pretty explosions as ppl try to fly in fast or miss completely when docking. I can imagine for you guys who have been playing it for a while such a huge laugh and even now is thinking of doing exactly that when I get to install it hahahaha..

now stop dreaming and join the circle of commanders, the real ones :D If you gfot time to read and write here, you'll find time to dock, or try to ^^ we need entertaining moments :D

A very valid point. I couldn't resist the beta, and yes, when I first entered the space station I had the most childish grin on my face and my jaw just dropped. Then I realised I wouldn't quite get that feeling when playing ED at launch. A small price to pay though.

They have said there will be a reset at Gamma and possibly after but only if absolutely necessary.
I believe a boxed version will be available as they are making one for certain KS backers.
For ME it's about the journey. Being in my mid-50's having a finalized version paled in comparison to helping to bring it to life and the advanced experience of a complex learning-curve game that will be Elite: Dangerous.
I may not contribute much but I feel I've contributed all the same.
Of course, I'm a fanatic with regards to this game. Others can take or leave ED.
Only you can decide what is best for YOU.

Oh, and that feeling described? I've felt that over and over through out alpha, premium beta and beta. Most recently I think using voice comms?
Enjoy! (Insert roger-beep)
