General / Off-Topic Beast in the East

Interesting...Meanwhile here in Ottawa, Canada - we've enjoyed a mild +7C today with beautiful sunny skies :)

The Arctic regions have seen incredible high temps; 15-22 degrees C! So while the uk and norhern europe has seen super low temps, they have been having a mini-spring/summer! I wonder if a shift in the Atlantic conveyor or jet stream (both due to climate change, both bad news) is the cause for these odd changes?

So how is that global warming going .......

okay I let my self out now..... :D

See above ;)

My chickens appreciate the warm water in their drinker today, they're all huddled under the coop fluffed up and looking at me like I'm mad for standing in the snow.

I went to the shops this morning to beat the rush of those buying bread & milk, on the way nearly slipped on a frozen trail of pee where some drunk must of taken a slash against the wall & it run halfway down the street before freezing solid.

-Jurassic Period-
Temperatures were in the mid-30’s Celsius (80’s Fahrenheit) with only some small fluctuations.

All is good, we have been here before, the earth will survive.

Don't want to worry you or anything but that was before the days of (Canadian wheat) monocultures .. and Tesco's. Still, there's always hope; I went into my local shop for the first time in ages just now, for sweets obviously, to find they're doing a packaging free range of rice, pasta and various dried spices out the back. Bring your own container and a bit like the news article about that plastic free store in Amsterdam yesterday.

Must say I'm impressed .. though it is a bit parky out there. It makes playing Elite Dangerous more authentic though; as nice as the new rocky worlds are, and they are nice, think I might visit some ice worlds today .. and open a window for immurshun.

Buying in bulk is always good, I love doing that, wify and I got some small containers kept in a dry place where we store rice and other grain sorts. We actually purchased a freeze dry own to dry fruits we got from our local market.

I'm sat in my van in Click and Collect, in the snow, with my engine running in hopes of causing this global warming everyone keeps banging on about, because I'm absolutely freezing!

Snow in the Portsmouth area now.

And yes, my local supermarket has sold out of bread.
