Solo haulage wing missions

I was curious to know if cargo wing missions could be carried out by just myself.... Great days indeed as they can. Three or four trips in the new extra capacity T9 normally wraps up one wing mission, and I quite like the extra ‘responsibility’ completing these missions alone.

I've done a few of them solo already, so yes they can and are a good way to play a space trucker with a big ship. However, the payout is not so great, because it does take on average 4 trips to do the average wing haulage mission, which can take an hour to do even when the systems are 3ly apart and 100ls from star. So, not very profitable doing them solo.

They surely can.

I saw a few for 20 mil in the beta, are those now very hard to find? I know biowaste has awful payouts (3k tons for 2 mil, nobody will take that - you make more money, a lot more actually, running random trade routes, even in wings).

I have been contacted by the recipients of your determined hauling skills to award you with 1 rep point for your efforts :)

Agreed. Without a wing, it's basically a personal mini-CG. It's fun, though not the right thing to do if profit per hour is one's "thing" :)

I only completed a few so far and the pay range is between 3 and 7 mill so far. They take around 20-30 mins to complete. But, that is just at my home base, and we are a poor faction with a small population. Payouts will vary across the bubble.

It is rather therapeutic to just haul a couple thousand tons of stuff, I have enjoyed the wing missions I have done solo, but I am also not interested so much in CR/Hour, so there's that. :)

A nice treat is when you get two that complement each other, so that you get a nice A-B-A route going.

The 'source resources' mission can be profitable, got one to source gold for 27mil.

Was also looking at trying these as the delivery ones had some massive fines in the beta, the time to complete might be an issue for me as well though.

I was searching the boards for such a happenstance, but no luck so far. Have you been fortunate enough for this to happen yet ?

Yeah, a few times. Whenever I drop off the A-B cargo, I just check the mission boards at B to see if there are any going back to my source system/station.

We should have a competition to see who can get the first A-B-C-A route going :)

Got a 16 million credit one for 4021 tons of Plantium. Plus 5 Modified Embedded Firmware.

18 million credit payout without the MEF. Boom State Mission.

These missions are perfect when you can get some good back hauling missions to go with them.

I had that happen once, was really cool. Still didn't pay that well, but it kept me from deadheading.

As far as Wing Source item missions, all of them I investigated ended up really netting half of what the reward was due to the cost of the items wanted. Again, not so great profit wise.

Just been testing the fetch missions, these are ok too as it’s possible to complete some of these in just one trip in the T9. And becuase the galaxy map has the new ‘commodity’ search function.... no time is wasted at all ! With a bit more function searching you can even take a haul to the mission destination to earn extra credits.

One caveat for the fetch missions... With one particular mission I was asked to get 465 tons of indite. I ended sourcing it from three separate locations. Boo....
