"Increased the spawn rate of High Grade Emissions USSs in shipping lanes and by planets"

I haven't seen a lot of discussion on that matter, so are you people finding more HGE in 3.0 ?

Unfortunately it is even worst. The most stupid grinding gameplay which needed to be reworked is even worst from my experience.

I have been finding them, and yes, I found some HGE in shipping lanes and close to the main star.
I think we need to start re-evaluating a lot of farming methods.

I've seen a handful of them in the past couple of days in shipping lanes. They're definitely there.

I still think they should spawn with the type already identified, and with a direct scan revealing more info.

Anacondas and Clippers now spawn some HGE mats in high resources areas. Yesterday I got 1 chemical manipulator, 2 military grade alloys, 1 core dynamic composites, 1 proto radiolic alloy and 1 exquisite focus crystal in 90 minutes of playing. It was in a hirez site near Somerset Station in I Carinae. And I also made 8 million credits with the KWS.

That would be nice. I'd be more inclined to check them if they behaved that way. Currently, the hassle of having to re-target my destination isn't worth fiddling around to see what kind of signal it is. "Convoy dispersal pattern again. Le sigh."

So far, I've spent a while scouting for High Grade USS. I only ever found a single one on a Shipping Lane.

Spawn rates in Deep Space seem unchanged to me. I was still easily able to roam in SC for >30 Mins without seeing a single one.
Since my brain can't take more than ~45 mins of watching Paint Dry in one Session before it risks to implode from boredom, I try to minimize my Exposure to this self-mutilating RNG game mechanic though.

I'd seriously love to give my NPC Crew(s) a Ship of mine and pay them darn good Credits to do that job for me instead. They'd be perfect for that type of robotic, crappy job.

I seem to be one of the unlucky uns too! I'm getting next to none HGEs since 3.0 dropped, shed loads of Encoded and Degraded, but sod all HGEs, regardless of state, allegiance or populations. pretty damned annoying tbh!

Spent 2 hours in Nebtete looking for pharmaceutical isolaters yesterday. I didn’t check space lanes, just went to deep space as usual. Wound up with about 60 total, having found 5 hge’s in that time. Seems to be about the same level of acquisition as before, to me.

If you can’t find High Grade USS’, or USS’ in general, after 3.0 you are simply not doing it right, or you are just extremely unlucky (which is totally possible). I have spend 95% of my time since 3.0 to gather materials, and the spawnrate has been increased everywhere. Literally everywhere.

As an example I found 48 Millitary Grade Alloys and 81 (yes 81!) Millitary Supercapacitors yesterday in the same system - in 3 hours! The best I have ever seen by far. It’s an extreme example, and I don’t expect it to be THAT good again any time soon, but it WAS in a system with extremely high population. Remember when you are looking for High Grade USS’ that higher population = higher spawnrate of USS’. And when you find the USS’ there are more materials in them compared to before 3.0. All materials I have looked for in USS’s are now easier to get.

The same with planet prospecting, Dav’s Hope, material rewards in missions and everything else I have seen.

It’s definitely way easier to find materials now - as it should be with the new engineering system.

There’s only one material/data that I have searched for which spawn rate seems to be the same - not worse but the same - compared to before 3.0, and that’s Datamined Wake Exeptions.

Quote from my next post:
“I mostly follow this guys guides: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0qs5hXr2DM_AX0lUOjKJPQ, with my own small variations. I set my filter to only show signal sources and stars. Mark the main star - and start cruising around it in a distance of about 650ls - 900ls. Speed should be 3c - 4c. Stay on the same level as the orbit lines. Then just wait. When I have harvested a USS I speed up to about 15c - 20c for just 5 seconds or so - and then again down to 3c - 4c. If I haven’t found anything in about 5 minutes I speed up again for a moment - and then 3c - 4c again. It works very well for me.”

Maybe I share some knowledge again. HGE can only be found in certain systems (from an old thread but still valid):

HGE types

Described as follows: "Material" - "Conditions"

Core Dynamics Composites, Proprietary Composites - Federation-aligned system (WAR)

Imperial Shielding - Empire-aligned system

Improvised Components - System in Civil Unrest state

Military Grade Alloys, Military Supercapacitors - System in War or Civil War state

Pharmaceutical Isolators- System in Outbreak state

Proto Heat Radiators, Proto Light Alloys, Proto Radiolic Alloys - System in Boom state

And I had the impression that its a bit easier to find them. And they are no more limited to deep space.

Exactly, but you should always add that higher population = higher spawnrate of USS’. It means a lot.
