Powerplay Question about power play bounties in 3.0

Can anyone tell me please what happens to power play bounties if one removes their pledge of allegiance to a superpower?

Can anyone tell me please what happens to power play bounties if one removes their pledge of allegiance to a superpower?

And is it possible to pay them off? Do I need an Interstellar Factors guy in a control system? I have a bounty with Fat Eddie, so I went to a low-sec Alliance system, but Interstellar Factors didn't want to know.

Power Bounties are different from regular ones.

They don't give any limitation to you, neither you have to pay for them if you are destroied by a enemy CMDR. It's just a "prize" for the guy who manage to kill you.

So: there's no way to pay them because you simply don't need to.

If you unpledge from a Power you should simply be freed from any Power Bounty.

Thanks, I'm going to wait until someone confirms this is the case for sure before trying.

When I am no longer pledged to a superpower and I kill a wanted ship, will I still get notoriety for every kill?

What do you get power play bounties for? Murder of opposing power play ships? Do you get them in anarchy systems too?

Thanks.

As there are no consequences to having a PowerPlay bounty (other than enemy pledges getting rewarded for killing you), there is no way to clear them (outside of dying). This is perfectly reasonable.

I received power bounties in anarchy system. Cant find a way to pay it off. Not sure there is a way

Is that working as intended? I mean getting bounties in anarchy. Also should there be a way to clear PP bounties?

Edit: reading this perhaps it is working as intended although its not clear about which bounties can be cleared at interstellar factors. https://support.frontier.co.uk/kb/faq.php?id=423

Ok, I'll be crystal clear about Power Bounties.

- No consequences
- Yeah, in anarchy systems too and it's intended
- Considering no consequences -> no way to pay them off

And it really is good this way. You don't want a Power Bounty on your head even if it's basically without any consequences? Stop undermining.

Just to confirm that undermining by destroying NPC agents of a Hostile Power in their Anarchy Control system does, indeed, accrue both merits and Power Bounty. Checked myself today.

As others have said, though, there may be nothing wrong with that.

Lol 3 poster above. It is wrong. Anarchy system giving out bad boy points and pp bounties is wrong. As of now, pp bounties make your ship hot. Your modules are hot. What does that mean what you think? You have to pay to clean your modules from your hot ship if you want to use them somewhere else. Your ships transfer price if you want to move it somewhere is increased too. If pp bounties only affected the transaction screen, thats fine. But they not. At least on my end. Oversight in coding that is. Or...

Ahhhhh ... got it. OK, yes this is a problem. I have a screenshot and will check this now and bug report tonight if there isn't already a thread.

Same with me. Already wrote a bug report some days ago, others have too. But obviously FD doesn't care about, as there are no responses to these reports so far.

OK, this seems worse than I thought.

I left the game running docked at a station for 8 hours last night. It was still running when I came back just now.

My notoriety is still 10. Shouldn't it have decayed?

My concern now is that I'm fixed at Notoriety 10 until Support get involved. This is effectively stopping me playing the game.

@Starman 1966 and @shustas any thoughts on the Notoriety issue...?

EDIT: Because the FAQ says that Notoriety does decay whilst docked but won't show until undocked, I undocked and redocked. Still Notoriety 10 throughout.

My Notoriety appears permanently fixed at 10 due to Powerplay NPC Undermining in an Anarchy.

Hi Truesilver

Indeed this seems to be entirely messed up. I once get a notoriety of 1 because I killed an Archon Delaine PP NPC in my home system after he interdicted me (me being entirely clean). He was clearly marked red as wanted enemy and I earned some 20,000 CR of bounty. On the other hand I got a galaxy wide PP bounty of 11,000 CR on my head with Archon Delaine. My notoriety went back to 0 within one or two hours of gameplay.

You being fixed at 10 is... well use your favourite curse word for that. I object on getting an increased notoriety at all during PP. Just imagine you are at a notoriety of 10 and accidentially ricochet some moron in a HazRES or wherever...

As well PP bounties should perish over time or at least should be payable @ Interstellar as well as all other bounties. It's simply messed up.
