Thargoid Massacre Missions

Hi!

I noticed in the patch notes that there are Thargoid Massacre Missions now; I did not see any of these when I was out at Maia/Merope last week, can someone tell me where to find these and what the missions involve, is it just killing scouts or larger variants?

I spent around 6 hours flying around looking for threat 4's and only found 3, does the mission give you a location like a CZ or do you have to fly around looking for non human signals?

I'm currently out exploring so don't want to head back unless it's worth it! I was already disappointed at the lack of scout's I encountered hence heading out into the black.

I would hope that they are at systems with stations being repaired/attacked or systems at the edge of the advancing horde.
Hopefully someone can find some missions and give us a clue.

Yeah I went to a whole bunch of those stations and nothing but passenger evac & supply missions.

(however the patch suggest there might be a fix to the mission spawns)

This is precisely why I don't ever take missions that involve finding a signal source. Flying around in circles waiting for the RNG to smile upon you is terrible gameplay.

If there are thargoid Combat Zones, I would be ALL OVER IT.

This is precisely why I don't ever take missions that involve finding a signal source. Flying around in circles waiting for the RNG to smile upon you is terrible gameplay.

Yeah we want Thargoid CZ, lots of Scout's and larger goids to drop in occasionally.

I want it to be like the battle scene from Independence Day!

It was really cool fighting these scouts in Beta but now they're live I just can't finds them

What I don't understand is why can't we have access to the new content?

I’d check The Oracle, since the repairs should be complete there.

They are Nowhere.
They only appear in attacked stations and their rescue ships. And there are none at the moment.

This is correct. If you want to battle some scouts, go to the stations that were attacked last (canae remember the names and not online, sorry), then supercruise around a bit, nhss threat lvl4 pop up often, thats it, drop in, get ready to get insta-attacked.

It really is damn good fun!

If you get corrosive damage, run away, turn on silent running, wait till heat burns off the acid (160-170 heat), go back and finish the job!

Thanks I'll give that a go when I'm back in the bubble, I have my Cheifstain all setup ready to parked in Merope

I battered plenty in Beta, firing off a shield cell bank helps with the heating up too lol.

Rewards for killing a Thargoid as is 2,000,000CR barely covers your ship damage... and massacre missions at 650,000CR is a big joke (a really bad one)!
