From Warrant Officer to Rear Admiral inside of a day

So I was doing the Ceos Sothis run to grind my rank for the Corvette.

Took less than a day to jump from Warrant officer to Rear Admiral!!!

So im taking bets on when the rep gain missions will be nerfed :D

I reached Rear Admiral back in 2.4, and thought I'd never see the another Fed rank after that.

After spamming Volyboom, I noticed I had a Federal Navy mission to complete, and upon doing that and checking rank, I'm now 60% of the way through Vice-Admiral.

Yup its very easy now to rank up what with the new payout options.

Why post about it? You trying to get it nerfed?

Yes, billionaires say money does not give you happiness. So poor people stay poor, as they have no imagination of what to do with the money if they suddenly received it. While billionaires continue acquiring millions to support their unhappy life and advertise that money is evil...

Yea but this is about rep not money.

In 2.4 you had to do a TON of missions to build up rank AND cash to buy your new Corvette.

Now in 3.0 you can do a lot(but far less than before) of missions to get rank. But you STILL need to do a lot more missions to get the cash.

Even WAY back in 2.1 I had the rank of Rear Admiral before I could actually afford to buy and outfit a Corvette. I think I was a Rear Admiral without a Corvette for 2-3 months back then.

I think the split is reasonable. One route you get the cash, the other route you get the rep. If you started with nothing and went the rep route to get the rank, you'd still have to go the other route to get the cash.

Also not everyone hangs out at Ceos Sothis milking the heck out of it. In fact I'll bet very few do. Away from that little teat, the milk doesn't flow quite as freely.

Wow! They have sure dumbed down the Federal ranking process compared to when I did that grind over 2 years ago.

It’s like a game now. See how many features the community can get removed from the game. Like Whack-A-Mole.

I’m betting on six by the end of the week.

No not at all just wondering when the nerf will hit it.

Frontier seems to nerf anything that is too easy and the community broadly agrees I think.

Strange you have this attitude after you use what you think should be nerfed?

Also strange you didnt post about it till you got the rank you needed....

Lol

To be honest, this would be more of an issue if it wasn't just ships that were unlocked by rank.

If there was a proper Naval career progression and all things associated with the ranks actually meaning something except a random number to hit to unlock a ship, then I can see why being able to speed through would be a problem.

Let them have their Funships, Derpships and Chevrolets, newbie or not. Go get them while they're hot.

Funny that isn't it ;)

It would be awesome I think if military ranking went up as well as down and for it to be an actual career in the game.
